  5. haha im on my third time too mines always for rebuild/revision of spec though chin up steve sure ricky will have it done in the next few days could always of saved some £££ and built the engine yourself, ask the sparkster sure he will agree with me thats its honestly not that hard to do and if you have the time it can be done in a day or two tops!!
  6. lmfao, was looking at this very car the other day, i was doing some work for a company in the same ind est as this dude works in. it was silver last time i was there. its also an auto (sorry iamlegend) and whats worse is the fuck of huge fusion install in the back where the rear bench was!!!!!!!!!! it actualy looks worse in the flesh if thats even posable! halfrauds glanza = FAIL
  7. jack the car up and see if theres a diff on it too, could just be an uprated diff locking on launches?? is realy hard to say without a vid bud.
  8. not my cup of tea tbh, but that said very nice mix of jdm/usdm. is a credit to you bud looks wicked!!
  9. I'm normaly on a motorola milestone and I can do it all too android ftw!!! Just have fingers too fat for the touch keyboard so make tons of spelling mistakes lol
  10. Lol its not a trash socks thread although he is a stainless whoare lol (love you realy matt) you miss the point, slowly up to temp, lots of switch offs, otherwise yes its burns off in two mins flat, as soon as its smokes turn off, then cool then warm it a bit more. You have to bake it hard not burn the shit out of it lol. Has taken us a good few warm ups and cool downs, id a sloooooow process, may work better if you bake it in the oven but I couldn't be arsed lol. So we did it this way
  11. well as socks has quite rightly pointed out in nearly every thread for some one with a mild steel mani the black paint burns off quick as fook lol. we have realised (me and my mates) the answer is to very VERY slowly bring the mani up to temp. we have sepnt a while ideling the car then letting it cool right back down again then bringing it further up the temp then cooling down again, after sevral build ups to an eventual normal running temp the answer is to the build the temp of the mani more by boosting a little then letting it cool again. yes its a long winded pain in the arse, but so far it seems to keep the mani black and the heat paint has "baked" rather than just burned off. mods feel free to shift this around, wasnt overly sure where to put it
  12. lmao clearly never driven the right scooby or evo then! id like to see how an RS fairs against a 300bhp+ starlet too. the rs has all the looks but the lack of 4x4 in a high powered ford was a mistake, plain and simple. my bosses mate owns one and it spend 90% of its life broken, hes looking to get shot of it now as its just not a reliable car.
  13. no 4x4 =mahoooooooooosive FAIL!!!!!!! thats why i wouldnt have one! all big power fords where 4x4 then they ditched on the focus. stupid stupid stupid ford people!!!! would rather have a scooby or an evo and wave at the rs as i pissed all over it from the start.
  14. i used to do nights when i first started as a sparky few years back. didnt bother me to much tbh, driving home at 6am is awesome no one around = lots of boost lol i just used to sleep alldayget up few redbulls through out the night and then by the time i was home i was ready for bed exellent way to save money to as nowhere is fucking open when your up lol was bloody awesome tbh, id go back to it in a flash

  21. Cheers guys ill get some more pics when its back in one piece. And cleaned.
  22. Can double check the timing didn't move buy rotating the engine and lining up the two dimples on the inside of the mesh gear on the inlet with the one dimple on the inside of the exhuast mesh gear. When timed in the 3dimples form a straight line all nest to each other where the two mesh gears meet.
  23. Yea will be fine, I'm 100% its ok mines been like it for over 4 months. The billet cam holds my mesh gear to tight to let the spring tension so its meshy n rattles. But I've never been fussed as my whole forged engine is loud due to the parts used. So long as you put them back in the same place and didn't move the bottom pully the mesh gear is the only thing it can be, and like I say that is just an anoying meshy metal noise. No harm can be caused by un tensiond mesh gear bud.
  24. No probs and don't panic, it can damage nothing it just sounds nasty
  25. The rattle will be the cam mesh gear on the inlet cam. Its tensioned and if you didn't put a service bolt through it then when it came out one half of it can move back, it will damage nothing but give an anoying meshy metalic rattle from the head. To sort it you need to tale em out twist the back half (side facing away from cam lobes) and put a 6mm bolt through the hole to hold tye tension, put them back bolt em down then remove the 6mm bolt and the spring locks the gears tightly
