  1. Is sort of a good thing imo as finaly prices for our loved starbos will climb soon and we may get back to the rightful place in the jdm car price list. as for turning the key i could have her running and roadworthy within a week or so but but im in no major rush tbh as I've so many parts to put on still that im gonna wait till shes more finished to put her back on the road. any chance you can pm me some costings on what your paying to have 1st and 5th swapped as I've asked gary more times than i can remeber and still not had a price lol.

  10. Feel your pain bud. when my old v was mapped only made 180 whp 220@fly was gutted but was the same few issues losing me power big time. meh, get her back go back over the issues then round two ;) will make wicked power when shes sorted.
  11. Have to say is a damn sight easier to saw the old collars out when the mount is held in a vice but can still be done without one tbh.
  12. Adam is spot on with the point im trying to make. like anything technology improves and due to that the overall result will be better. wether it be a turbo now using billet blades or an ecu with better mapping options or software. for the price they normaly go for you can save money and get a better end result. maybe only margonaly but better non the less. and yea its got features you may not need but id rather pay 200-300less and have functions i dont require than pay full wack and 6months later when i want to do more discover the features or support arnt there. The do work well im not doubting that as it is a proven fact but its expensive old technology FACT! If it was 300-500 then hell yea we would all run them but its not, its near on 800+ wich is a hell of a lot of money for an older ecu system.
