Definately leaving it red for now, think I'm going to get some different wheels though, probably white Rota Grids or something, the multispokes are such hassle to keep clean.
-
Yeah I just realised that after posting lol, it's staying red for now. If I decide I want to keep the car for a few years I'll end up dropping a B20 in it or a turbo conversion so if I did that then I'd get the whole car resprayed. I worked out my money and I'm just going to patch it up for now.
-
Just had a thought, highly unlikely but I've always liked midnight purple... what are people's thoughts on having the car resprayed in midnight purple, with some bronze Rota Grids? (Doubt I'd get my hands on TE37's). As I said it's highly unlikely, but it's already going to cost £600 just to patch things up. Something like this:

It's going to cost me £600 to get the paint patched up. Plus the £150 to get the dents out. £750+a months insurance = no money for a month. ;)
-
I don't understand why you even bother with it, just get a normal EP91.
-
Got a quote today to have all the dents removed... £150. Getting a quote tomorrow for the rest of the bodywork, I may end up having the lot resprayed, all rust/scratches/imperfections repaired. Depending on the cost I might get the lot done and have the car looking like new. Rear MeisterR's should be here on thursday.

Cheers for the comments. @ rorenapier I actually thought about it afterwards - I should have reversed and ran the cunts over but at the time it happened so quick, infact it took me a few seconds to even realise what was going on. I've got a dent repair specialist coming to look at the car tomorrow, but one of the dents is going to need some serious work as it's cracked the paint so may end up costing me a fair bit.

Was nothing I could do really if I had tried getting out the car I would have been greeted with a load of feet in my face, the height of the CRX puts it just right for a boot in the face when getting out of it. And atleast 4-5 against one wouldn't have gone down too well either way. But onwards and upwards, rear coilies ordered, getting quotes for repairs tomorrow, once that's all sorted and I'm square with my money again then I've made up a little list of a few things to get, strut braces, big brake kit, exhaust manifold, new induction kit, full service, polybushes, etc...

You cannot simply "chip" your ECU, you will need to atleast get a piggyback, E-Manage is the popular choice.

Hate the Golf, fucking ugly. The Glanza is nice though, but as Sparky said, sort the fogs out.
-
I highly recommend MeisterR.

Got some idea, but couldn't do anything about it at the time. My car looks shit now though I'm losing interest in it. And now the weekend is going to be shit, had been waiting all week to give the car a good clean and go for a drive.
-
NOT FUCKING HAPPY. :D Had the car on the road for a week and now the drivers side is dented to shit, broken wing mirror, dent in the bonnet. Basically me and some mates were sat on a car park minding our own business when suddenly a load of lads come from no where and start kicking the shit out of everything, my car has dents all up the drivers side and the wing mirror is fucked. I am so pissed off, I wait fucking months to get this on the road, have it for a week and now this happens, I have the worst luck ever. On a better note I'm going to order the rear coilovers soon. But this sh

Get a new radiator NOW. I made the mistake of trying to hang on to a shitty rad and just topping it up every day but eventually it gave up and took the engine with it. In the end I had to buy a new engine and radiator.

First impressions: Fuck me it's quick compared to the N/A Starlet! And sounds so fucking good, VTEC is addictive. At first I thought there was something seriously wrong with the handling but it turns out someone at the garage had been fucking around with the coilovers and one was set 4 clicks away from fully soft and the other a few clicks away from hard. I've now set it 12 clicks away from fully soft, going to try it a bit firmer tonight. Will be better when I get coilovers on the rear aswell, then it's going to go even lower all round and I'll have a good play around getting it set up a

Haha sorry for hijacking your topic mate. I'll probably give you a ring next weekend if I'm not working on the saturday, will pop up to the workshop if you aren't busy. -
Chassis Differences From Ep91 To Ep95

Had to fit the fronts straight away to get it through the MOT, all it failed on was a broken spring (shitty cheap lowering springs) so I needed some new suspension ASAP and Jerrick done me a good deal. -

That looks fucking ace mate. Handling feel a bit better now you've got the strut brace back in aswell? -
Chassis Differences From Ep91 To Ep95
ste91 replied to TBDevelopments's topic in 4WD Starlet Knowledge Base
It's common for bushes to be worn and need replacing on CRX's, could be alignment though, got MeisterR's on the front and standard shocks with shit lowering springs on the back, ordering rear MeisterR's at the end of the month I hope that should sort it out once I've played around with the settings a bit. And nah not done alignment yet, I thought it would either be alignment or worn bushes. -

Nah I knew you would come flying past lol. Somethings not right with the CRX though which I might get you to check out next weekend if you aren't too busy at the workshop I'll pop up if you don't mind. Under hard acceleration or braking it squirms all over the place. Anyway I wont hijack your topic anymore lol. -
Chassis Differences From Ep91 To Ep95

Haha, first a run around, then a K1, then 5E, and now 4WD. I take it you like the Glanza more than you first anticipated? lol Will have to meet up one day soon mate, when I saw you last night I'd only had the CRX on the road for about an hour or so. -
This is now MOT'd and taxed!! Going to give it a couple of hours until the traffic settles then I'm off out.
-
What's left to do: MeisterR's (fronts only for now) should be here tomorrow. Just got to get them fitted and wheel stud changed which is being done either tomorrow or saturday. Also need to give the front calipers another coat of paint. The whole car needs a fucking good clean (will get pics). Sunday = VTEC time.
-
No, because I've got an even better solution. Buying front MeisterR coilovers to get it through the MOT, and then buying the rears near the end of the month.
-
They're aftermarket ones and I don't know what they are. Cheers anyway.
