  1. Just out of interest what's the going rate for a standard manifold?
  2. Haha I'm going to miss VTEC a lot. It hasn't changed me though, even though I came off incredibly lucky I'd still jump in a car now and thrash it round a track.
  3. Front wheels are fucked mate.
  4. Just thought I'd update this and say thanks for all the comments, I'm back on my feet walking again now. Now I just need to sort myself out with a new car, think it's time for another Toyota.
  5. Couple of pics... hardly recognisable as a car: Almost 3 weeks from when it happened and I'm just starting to walk (well it's more of a hobble).
  6. Hate German cars but that does sound good... this does too:
  7. What liter ZR was it mate? How did you find it compared to the Starlet?
  8. I had a similar setup on my old Starlet, on smooth roads it was excellent, handled brilliantly but on bumpy roads it wasn't nice at all. I guess the rear anti roll bar mod works the same on the Paseo as on the Starlet aswell?
  9. Cheers for the replies, it seems a Paseo is the way to go, infact even though I had a CRX I'm almost excited at the idea of going back to a Toyota, I loved my Starlet, and would really like a turbo one but there's something about driving a "slow" car and making it go fast round corners that makes driving fun. The other car I've considered is an MG ZR 1.4, they look okay and have a nice interior, and basically everything I want (other than a decent sound system) so I wouldn't have to do anything to it, although they are more expensive than Paseo's and less reliable and not as well built. Wha
  10. It's pissed me off seeing this and it's not even my car! I know how it feels though, some cunts kicked my CRX a week after getting it on the road.
  11. Yeah just throwing ideas around at the moment, also thought of a Corolla G6, or maybe an older Corolla, Starlet GT, Honda Civic, another CRX, etc... but not going to get too excited about it yet, concentrating on getting better and sorting everything out first. I do want another CRX at some point, might even get another as a track car. I'm healing up fairly well mate thanks for asking, cuts and bruises are okay, stitches are healing well. My shoulder is getting better although there's now a lump on it lol, the only real bad thing is my right foot is still swollen and I can't walk on it, if I
  12. Thought so, it will be wierd as fuck driving a car with power steering as light as that now though after having a heavy steering rack like the CRX.
  13. I have no idea what I'm going to do for my next car, I have so much shit to sort out before thinking about driving again but I'm considering getting a Paseo just to get me around for a bit. I can't see myself going back to a non turbo Starlet after having two of them already and then a CRX, but seeing as the Paseo has got a reasonably good interior and looks sporty without standing out too much and being mechanically the same as a Starlet I thought it would be a good choice. Few questions: What are they like to drive compared to Starlets? One of the things I really didn't like about the Star
  14. Hmm I'd be tempted by this if I was up on my feet and had some cash, would make a nice project ready for the summer. GLWTS
  15. Thanks a lot for the comments, I appreciate it. I'm still sore, hopping around. Not sure what I'm gonna do next for a car, at the moment I don't have a clue how things are going to end up with the insurance and what it's going to cost me and all that, so I'm just waiting to see what happens, then I'll start thinking about driving again. Just glad me and my mate are okay, still can't believe it's happened, the state of the car is just unreal.
  16. Cheers for the comments guys. It's completely mad how it only had my ankles. It's wierd to think if it had hit the car a few inches further back I'd be gone. Heads all over the place atm.
  17. Hit a lamp post, took the front end clean off, floor, firewall, the lot. It was a straight road so I'm guessing I must have hit some ice, snaked towards the curb, hit the curb, spun out and then hit the lamp post. I was so lucky, if the impact had been further back I don't think I'd be sat here writing this now.
  18. I'm still kind of confused at the moment so this probably isn't making a lot of sense. Last night was out driving, must of hit ice and spun out, can hardly remember a thing. Amazingly, I'm only suffering from cuts/bruises, had a few stitches, can't walk because one ankle is very sore and swollen.
  19. I'm not sure but I think it's a Blitz SS.
  20. On the preview of what's coming up in the new series, the bit where they showed the "double decker" car racing I'm sure I saw a Starlet on top of another car.
  21. Because it's a 1.3 ffs! You can tune it all you want, you could spend thousands on it, but it will still be a small torqueless engine. The 4EFE is a great little engine, there's no denying it, but it's not a performance engine.
  22. "Feeling sluggish" could be a number of things, or even something as simple as spark plugs.
  23. The 4AGE is basically the high performance version of the 4AGE (F or G in the engine names denote wether it's an economy or performance based engine). It was found in many Toyotas and there are many versions of it, the most recent and most powerful being the "Black top" 20v, which has 5 valves per cylinder and ITB's.
  24. LOL, my mate had one, and my other mate in the passenger seat went to close the door. The whole door card came off.
