17 inch wheels are a big no no. 15 inch ftw.

Just as a comparison - my CRX (B16, catback exhaust, crappy induction kit) was pretty even with a standard Glanza up to about 80, then I started pulling away. On the other hand my mate's Glanza (running a Blitz K1 and various other goodies) easily gets away from me.

Nice N/A, looks very similar to my sister's. Get yourself a Corolla inlet manifold, and get it lowered. What rubber have you got on those wheels? I'd consider some decent tyres if you're using budget ones. Anyone who has one would also recommend a rear anti roll bar.

I don't understand the fuss about things like oil filler caps/rad caps/etc...

Gotta love how the driver in the 2nd vid has his "rear view" mirror turned sideways.

Best shocks for lowering springs? (EP91)

KYB New SR Specials are great if you can get hold of some. -
Drop a 4EFTE engine in there. Of course it's not "cheap" in the real sense of the word but it's the cheapest way of getting any real power. If you just want a slight performance increase that is actually cheap then get a Corolla inlet manifold.

I'd love to leave it how it is, I think I might measure it up and write it down, try it a bit higher, if I don't like it I'll just lower it back down to how it is. I need to check the state of the exhaust though lol I'm sure it's taken a bit of a bashing. About the camber, I'm going to get it set up properly once I've got it all polybushed and everything. On a side note a 2.0 Clio Sport 172 couldn't come past me yesterday.

Cheers Just been out for a blast in it, I love this car so much, when you're in the right mood for nailing it it's fucking perfect.

Finally some pictures, bit shit as the car isn't quite as shiney as I'd like it and I'm not much of a photographer. Since the last update I've had the dents taken out although you can still slightly see two of them on the last pic. And also fitted a new wing mirror. The ride height still needs lifting up as it scrapes like fuck over speed bumps, got quite a nice stance at the moment though I think.

Need help on what to get with my turbo upgrade..

What are your goals? What is the car going to be used for? -
What have you done?

I agree that the 4EFE engine is great for what it is and I used to think spending money on a 4EFE would be a nice idea but honestly, it's a waste of time and money. You lot who think the 4EFE is a better route should really take your N/A blinkers off. Not meaning to sound like a cunt here but seriously, have a go in a standard GT/Glanza and you'll see the difference. Sure you could really push a 4EFE and go silly with high compression/cams/ITB's and you may even crack 100bhp/per liter, which would be a great achievement. But you'd still only have the same peak bhp figure as a STANDARD 4EFTE,

Your sig is wierd as fuck lol what is it meant to be?

Possibly the alternator belt (there is no fan belt on these cars), my first Starlet squeeled like fuck until I changed it. You may aswell just get a new belt, they're cheap enough. Just to test it out - switch every electrical thing on and see if it squeels when driving (more likely to squeel at low revs) then do the same with the electrical stuff off (less load on the alternator) and see if it does it then. If it's the brakes it's most likely a very small stone or something like that stuck between the pad and disk, I had this problem too, was very annoying but that was more of a screech, ve

Can't be bothered with going on the link or anything but I bought a Razer mouse a few years ago (and still have it) and it is excellent. Highly recommended if you're into PC gaming (I used to be).

I guess I was fairly lucky having only one that snapped, it's all sorted now anyway. MeisterR's all round, just got to play around with them now to get the right ride height and damper setting. Ordered a new wing mirror and glass, dent removal man is coming on friday. I might take a couple of quick pics of the car tonight even though it's not perfectly clean, but I suppose I need to as I haven't taken any proper ones since buying it.

Managed to get one side of the rear coilies done and adjusted the height of the fronts, and then... a fucking bolt snapped on the lower control arm. FML It is now slammed to the deck lol (on 3 corners), going to need raising up a bit because it's too low and looks silly. Yet another problem/more money to spend, but once the last coilover is on I'll get the height set up how I want it. Fucking thing is pissing me off, by next summer once I've got it set up how I want it it better be worth all this hassle. @ Liam - not a fan of black wheels, I love white but the multispokes are too much eff

Wasn't that numberplate on a GT before?

That video was shit lol.

Welcome to UKSC mate I'm not too far from you, I don't drive a Starlet anymore though, if you're ever down Kidderminster way you might see my CRX around. I'm up in Cannock sometimes for work but not in my car.

Some pics of the car: http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/329/21758...718bef428do.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/5298/42142616.jpg http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/4999/79195044.jpg I'd like to see what it looks like in this colour: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/po...ht-purple-3.jpg And those wheels too, I'm too lazy but it might be worth having a quick look on google for some bronze Rota Grids or TE37's.
