It's not exact but a Glanza is basically an SR with a bodykit and a turbo...

Another little update, got my springs sprayed, will get some pics later once they've dried properly. As I said before my plan is to buy another Starlet and not put the parts on the one I've got at the moment but I'm getting pissed off so I might just buy a panhard rod and get the springs & shocks fitted to this car.

I see the local pigeons have been doing a bit of target practise.

Got any pics of the Rotrex? 210bhp and only the size of an alternator... hmm... But then again, at a push you can get near 200 on a CT9.

I'm guessing this is for a non turbo? If it is, then start with getting a Corolla inlet manifold, it really livens up the 4EFE and gives much better mid-top range power. The second thing you should do is replace the crappy filter with either a free flowing panel filter or get rid of the airbox altogether and use a cone style filter. There is alot more you can do but these relatively cheap and easy mods give a good increase for a low price. As for handling a rear anti roll bar is what most people recommend. Some good tyres help alot aswell, and obviously some nice wheels will make the car loo

Toy Tuning Vs Monster Motorsport Relocation

Overpriced IMO. Go on ebay and search for silicone pipes. -
Yeah I was thinking the same lol, ironic isn't it.

Good. I fucking hate these things. Driving a Starlet at night sucks when there's people with these bright lights. It blinds the fuck out of you, ok fair enough on country lanes or whatever they probably do help alot but in built up areas with streetlamps and plenty of other cars headlamps lighting the place up there's no need for these fucking blinding things. It's no different to having someone driving around with their high-beam permanently on. /rant

IMO I think it would work well combined with the 5EFHE cams and a good port/polish and 4EFTE valve springs (to prevent valve float) then somehow raise the RPM limit of the 4EFE ECU and away you go... it would be like a 5EFHE with less torque I suppose. But it's a fair bit of work as opposed to simply bolting on the ACIS manifold.

I know it's mostly irrelevant but one thing that might be interesting to look at is the engines of Toyotas/Peugeots. The Frenchies might have sorted the handling side of things but just look at their engines. The 106 Rallye has a 1.6 producing 90bhp. NINETY? Ninety from a 1.6, are you fucking kidding me? And now onto the GTi - that has a bit more power - 120bhp and is also a 1.6. Not as bad as the embaressing 90bhp but still 120 is nothing special when you look at what Toyota has from a 1.6 from the factory. Now the Starlet doesn't come with a 1.6 but just for comparison look at the 1.6 li

You could use 5EFHE cams but from what I hear they are hard to find. I read some posts on AU Starlet Club about them, someone had 5EFHE cams in his 4EFE, it made it bad at low revs and better at high revs. Overall it was no better than the standard cams. But of course with a proper piggyback tune you would get better results.

Welcome to UKSC Somehow it looks good on those wheels, LOL at the tow-bar though. Not seen one on a Starlet before. What's a Starlet going to pull? We are all well aware of the Starlet's suspension setup but you will be pleased to know that it can be easily cured. ;) Have a look around the Technical section and in the Tutorials and you'll find some good info on Starlets.

Can't really say anything that hasn't been said before, hope you have a speedy recovery. ;)

Next she's going to ask for a bigger picture with a background.

Not gonna bother with coilovers just yet haven't even used the uprated shocks/springs yet lol. Plus theres quite a few shit roads that I have to go down most days. Yeah was thinking about the C pillar brace, do they actually do much though seeing as I've already got a rear strut brace?
-
I haven't got all the parts yet but my handling setup should be something like this once I've ordered a rear ARB and adjustable panhard rod: Toyo Proxes tyres KYB New SR Special shocks TRD -40mm springs Whiteline rear anti-roll bar Whiteline adjustable panhard rod OEM front strut brace/GReddy rear strut brace Are there any other "vital" parts that I need to improve the handling? I know there will be a significant increase over standard with these parts but I'm wondering if there are any extra bits that would be worth getting? This is mainly for road use, I might go to a track day or somethi

How The F**k Do You Remove Springs From Shocks?
ste91 replied to ste91's topic in Chassis & Suspension
It's alright now I went round to the garage. It's a fucker to sand the bastard things down though! Takes ages. -
Asking this for a mate who doesn't have money for Emanage so needs a cheaper alternative. What's the cheapest way to setup a TD04 without using anything like Emanage or an expensive standalone? He wants to run about 200bhp for now as he's still on standard internals. Would a FCD/RRFPR setup do it? What else is needed?

Tell me about it, it's a fucking rip off isn't it?! Only thing to do is go hunting for new ones round local scrappys but with Starlets being somewhat rare... fuck if you'll find some.
