  1. I just dont think the potential damage factor involved is worth running it, plus a Td04 is hardly lag-vil. perhaps if you where running a big gt30/40 and needed to be back on boost quick after coming off the pedal... but that isnt the case. will sound good, pop some neat flames, draw attention but can ruin your turbo set-up... if you want pops and bangs with some flames get a Bee*R or Omex unit.
  2. V's looking super nice mate... think a small video clip of that exhaust is needed, would love to know how it compares up with a buddyclub. can see you have taken alot of time deciding what works best with each other bodywork wise, well done mate
  3. yeah simple things first... so change the ht leads, double check your spark plugs... have you driven the car in rain recently? also that crack in your mani might be getting worse, has it started leaking? could be a mani leak causing the engine to retard the ignition... but sounds more electrical related to me. do the above easy steps first them move on if they dont work ;)
  4. Ahh your glanza looks pretty sweet! nice combo with the red and white ;) welcome to the club, loads of wicked pervs... oh i mean people on hear where all nice realy, enjoy your stay ;)
  5. owch! lol that doesn't look to good, also cat to me looks standard. i really wouldn't want to be running 1bar through the stock mani and cat. i would turn down the boost asap then look to buy a new mani and decat.... perhaps get a compression test done just to make sure the rings etc are still all good aswell
  6. :) cant believe he even had the cheek to go on with the same ip and try to be someone else... again! lol
  7. yeah he just changed it, if you click on the name it shows he just switched it... some previous names include: bikes_daniel2005 18-Aug-05- 19-Jan-09 starletproparts 19-Jan-09- 04-Feb-10 dt125_2009 04-Feb-10- 03-May-10 bandit_c90 03-May-10- Present
  8. well if you have a blitz decat that's a good thing... have a look under your bonnet, next to your turbo look at the cat/decat, see if there is any writting down the side... if it says blitz you have a very nice rare decat. the mani isnt a restriction until you up the boost past stock levels, same with the cat. have a look at the traders on here they all supply them and all are of a very high quality
  9. ^^^ all i herd was sexy technical whispers in my eye lol
  10. you will notice a bit of a difference... not huge, but definitely a pick up in acceleration and top end pull, probably alot more responsive aswell they are quite a thin stainless though compared to others so will eventually crack, but seem to have a good build quality and come with a very good warranty. for the money you can complain and will last a good old while
  11. well first you need an ecu that has the capabilities to run anti-lag but also be able to tune the aggressiveness of the ALS system. you would need a button on the dash to turn ALS on and off... i believe anti-lag is actually illegal on the public road but could be wrong. next up you need to be prepared for the stress it will put on the exhaust system and mani... alot of stress will be being put on the decat area. high temp and un burn fuel can cause excessive expansion/contraction of the metal so it might well crack. also again the stress it will put on the turbo and the exhaust turbines is
  12. ah yeah i have herd of many people running close to 350bhp and some very brave ones above that... i'm just to much of a pussy dont think i will push mine past 320bhp being my daily drive, think i would be very happy with 300whp my ecu currently lets me peak 1.3bar which i think is on the limit of fuel cut, but my trusty AVCR keeps it from spiking over which is nice. what boost can the Blitz allow you to go to? i just wonder how much they put it down to timing adjustments type thing for power as the stock ecu boosts pretty high. might have to have look into a plug and play see what i can fin
  13. simple terms...No will fuck the turbo over in no time at all, will be fun while it lasts but will soon see the turbo poop itself. leave it to the group B's who get to rebuild there turbo/engine every other rally.
  14. home address is in Buckinghamshire where he is from... and the spelling like his is bloody awful!! good spot mate.
  15. personally i would just wait and do it right first time with a ecu and supporting mods... rushing in and taking the shoddy approach will only lead to bad things and cost you more in the long run. get all the supporting mods then think about upping the boost. also for reference i ran an uprated MR2 fuel pump in my glanza and that did more then enough
  16. 311bhp is a really good result! how aggressive is the timing with the blitz ecu? how where the afr's... where they rich or ok? I thought about a plug and play but herd they weren't of much benefit, so went a found a PowerFC... really want to get it mapped! and as stated in your other thread could do with a charge cooler lol, but tbf my Greddy smic is doing a dam fine job whats your plans now? power wise your almost at the stock engine limit... handling time?
  17. as Wallace said... they suck balls! shame you wasted your money. just think if you had spent a little more in the very beginning you could have not had all these problems, hence the saying 'do it cheap, do it twice' mate save and get a decent one. gizzmo do some very affordable ones and they work very well... or you can pick up a second hand blitz for pretty much nothing nowadays. see if you can get your money back, then put it towards a good one.
  18. plus sun roof models are rare! all the more reason to get one... will hold its value better then a non sunroof model
  19. yeah that seems to be the only downfall about them(not that it happens much), when i had mine i wasn't overly impressed with the hot pipe seemed a bit flimsy and the welding didn't look all that. all you can do is try and weld it or if that fails look for a used one.
  20. first post he says it running a stand alone Motech unit, so fueling should be good but i'm surprised that turbo is still alive... perhaps a potential boost leak has saved the thing :harhar:
  21. still not quite sure why you got rid of your old one lol, seemed pretty mint other then this has a jam kit lol but either way this one is just getting better and better, makes my old one look kinda boring :harhar:
  22. I would change the conrods over anything first, but when running that boost neither pistons or rings will last. you will either bend a rod or kill the rings... both cases then killing the pistons lol. you might find that the turbo is actually alot more efficient running at a lower boost, 1.4bar is far to much for such a small turbo! and it might actually feel faster at 1bar... but you could always get it back on dyno, that will show whether the boost is dropping off due to a leak or whats happening over the rev range.
  23. for some reason that's beyond me i have never posted in your build thread? lol. have followed it the whole why and it's lovely work mate keep it coming. I'm intrigued as to what this special thing may be lol... don't suppose you would like to leak it to me? :harhar:
  24. was going to say... you could just set up the apexi ebc so it doesn't full boost 1+2nd then all hell brakes loose in 3rd upwards. but i guess you have something already like that set up. sounds awesome!, think a HD cam and tripod are next on the list for PP! time to promote yO
