Look What Was At My Local Garage Today
Glanza_cl replied to 200bhp starlet's topic in Lifestyle General
Niiiiiice! yeah there are not many genuine TRD mr2s around, so very very rare! I recognise it though and that reg... think it's been in mr2only mag. Jase you crazy fool, these pics should have been up ages ago! Phenix Power mr2's look mad but have such amazing parts and spec!! -
Erm Exedy seem to be awful at the moment so dont go with them. Anything Nick@tuningdevelopments sells, monster motorsport etc sell will be good. If money is key then i would probably go with a Cap clutch... tried and tested on many glanza/gt's now and have done a good job. I dont have the link to the right one but there are loads of people on here that can provide the link if you need it. stock clutch wont hold a bar guaranteed... and if it does your very lucky!, and would only hold out possible a month. mine slipped at 0.8bar
-
with out any other mods i doubt you will notice much from the .1 of a bar... but having the ebc alone even at the same boost should make a difference, it should increase spool very slightly and give a much more stable boost curve. mount it where ever you want mate it doesn't matter, mine was just mounted by the A pillar out of ease of installation and it was easy to see.
-
no mention of a clutch in that list... you got an uprated or getting one? the stock wont manage 1bar it will slip
-
ooo whats that, that came through and owned them all?... why an mr2 of course! nah nice little vid, glanza was doing allright till he lost it on that corner.
-
Also reading that bit ... you must be delirious! lol. mate it will be so loud, you best carry lube for the permanent bum raping you will get from the coppers. they hate mine soo much.

buddy clubs are straight through(ish) but have been designed in a specific manner so not to loose to much back pressure but at the same time keep the exhaust velocity at the correct stage. just putting a 2.5" pipe through will be the biggest pile of crap ever!... you will loose torque and will just make a major bad sound. I have a 3.5" straight through buddyclub on my mr2 so believe me i know about noise and exhaust flow... dont do it mate, it will make your car drive and sound SHIT!
-
wicked little music creator... passed an hour of my time make your own sound
-
Mintex or Ferodo pads will be more then enough... or as stated EBC pads are easily available but have mixed opinions on them think Black Diamond do a pretty good set for the glanza as well

Jperformance Front Mount Intercooler
Glanza_cl replied to GT Phayer's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
yeah as stated mate there are two versions the blitz copy which is also the autobahn version where the pipe route goes over the mani... and there is the HDI copy where the pips run the normal route. if in doubt give Nick a pm he will be able to sort you out the one you want -
are you sure its the catch Matt?... have a look to see if anything in the engine bay itself is sitting maybe slightly high. i think there was something? i remember which sat slightly higher then stock height in the bay so made it harder then usual to close the bonnet

Glanza Weird Problem, Stutering Help!
Glanza_cl replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Ignition & Fueling
take out the fcd see if it still has the problem, could well be water in the spark plug socket as described though. if it was fine before the fueling wont suddenly change its self... the problem will be electrical (fcd) or down to weather (rain, water getting somewhere it shouldn't) check for a loose pipe causing a pressure leak, giving the ecu funny readings also... might be worth resetting the ecu as it might still be trying to enter safe mode. -
Can I Run Uprated Shocks On The Front?
Glanza_cl replied to chriswoodfto's topic in Chassis & Suspension
it's not ideal but you will be fine mate, there could be a height difference and i wouldn't push the car round any corners particularly fast as the difference in shock and spring set up could make the car easily unbalanced. but to tide you over till they are all replaced it will be fine. -
thats good to know also thread from 2008! ...try not to resurrect them

Tb Developments Road Car, Ep91 :), Now Updated
Glanza_cl replied to TBDevelopments's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Super nice work as always Tim! a charge cooler would be awesome would work well on the little 1.3 as they create a mighty amount of heat! dont see them much as fmic are 2 a penny nowadays so is the obvious choice to most people. haven't seen a charge cooler set up on a glanza for a long time so will keep an eye as i'm super interested in how it turns out keep the wicked updates coming -
... I miss cal, such interesting threads/comments always came from him.

yeah the rods arnt all that. personaly on a daily drive i wouldnt wanna pass 210bhp or so. there are people that have run alot more out there but i personaly i wouldnt. so around 1.2bar on a hybrid, or around 1bar on a tdo4
-
Yo dude yeah never got a chance to connect it up, guess Joe didnt either. have a look on www.rhdjapan.com they should be able to supply the adapter to the sandwich plate.
-
i'v seen 200bhp on a hybrid using that set up but with a ct9 I would expect around 180bhp
-
the biggest problem with them being mid engine is how they snap rather then just slide out like a front engine rwd. you can feel it losing grip and will know when it's going to come out but they do tend to snap then snap back again... plus they under steer like a mofo before the back comes out haha for some reason Toyota designed the front to have a wider track then the rear! why i have no idea lol, hence why everyone tries to stagger the wheels and have a wider wheel and offset at the rear to counteract it. tiz a fine balance to getting it feel good round a corner. but definitely sweet. swe

not yet, hoping to go towards Sony London or some game studio in london. My mate just landed a job at Blitz games in warwickshire ... lucky bugger. showreel is old but will fire you a pm and show you some things i'v working on lol
-
ah just literally sold my old set from my mr2, but yeah get over on imoc... not particularly friendly but wicked place for parts should have gone tubby then they really shift! mine still scares me haha, just never seems to be enough road to use it to it's max though
