  1. Wish it could fly out sooner to you Steve Now I'm stuck with what direction to take lol ? Joz
  2. At the end of the day all we are trying to do is to make everyone's experience and interaction with the site and starlet community as smooth and most satisying as possible. We have all had our trigger happy moments but most of us have matured and moved on since then. We do not get paid for doing any of this and even though some find more time to contribute than others, it is all a team effort to provide a safe and sorted platform in the best interest of everyone. Our satisfaction is a thriving and trusting starlet community as a whole. At the end of the day we are all enthusiasts so lets continue raising the bar like we have always done and think twice before throwing a whole forum's name into an argument. Like Bill & Ted once famously said Joz
  3. Such a sad sudden loss of life especially as it was one of your best friends. Life is too short and more easily taken away than you'd think. My sincere thoughts go out to all who are dear to Jamie at this difficult time. R.I.P bro you'll be missed and certainly not forgotten. Joz
  4. If thats what your're after go for a 5E setup with a full EMS that has anti-lag and other goodies. Thats if you are going the whole hog and time to save money isn't an issue. Joz
  5. Thats something that some people are starting to forget Gtmuzz. I'd be all for the 50+ posts rule as it will allow new members to mature into better enthusiasts and people that we'd all be happy to trade with. None of this text speak nonsense. Joz
  6. Pretty sure on some of those sites you can the actual file. Best get torrenting Idmeister for superior movie files Joz
  7. www.ovguide.com Idman. You'll be sure to find a good movies site there. Beware of the adult section Joz
  8. If in doubt get onto Jerrick who is our Meister R rep. He will be able to answer your questions. Joz
  9. I think its just the time of year where we all need a freaking chill out period from our EPs mate. Some owners are getting more hassle then others but its just part and parcel of owning these older hot hatches. I'm sure there is plenty more to come from mine (enjoyment & disappointment), but as long as she keeps giving me the wow factor when shes working I'll crack on, not crack up. Some of us are here for the long haul so UKSC is here to stay Joz
  10. You should have got the Meisters in the first place Mitch dude Does the engine performance side of the car perform well besides the suspension problems? Is there enough potential to satisfy your needs to carry on? All the other little bits are a bit of a prick but sortable. Joz
  11. That is balls broski but please bare with it. Every NI cloud has a silver lining (just about!) Mine was being a homosapien for a while but its now looking on the up. I had the works too (oil leaks) etc but thanks to certain gurus everything is now A1. HIDs are bad news imo, standard bulbs ftw. As for the adjusters try get some news ones asap. Keep the faith! Joz
  12. You can always have it on a lower boost setting for less than 300 when you want it drivable dude. Best of both worlds then. Joz
  13. You can go for a cheap and easy TD04 setup but there is still other things to worry about than just the minimum PSI you can run it at. You'd be a lot safer getting some form of management as it will help in the long run. If it was me I'd go for a minimum of 330cc injectors even if I was going to run it at 0.7bar or 1bar and this would be on standard FTE internals. What are you going to do manifold/downpipe wise as this is often the headache if you already have uprated CT9 items there. Spark and Wallace are right in that you are not going to get much benefits running the TD04 over your hybrid on a poverty spec setup at that boost pressure. Joz
  14. Check the links I posted up bud Joz
  15. WEPR (Wicked EP Racing) are not traders on here but they certainly do sell the CT9 power up kit. I have just bought a fmic and mani from Sasha who runs WEPR and they are awesome quality. Here is a link to the Power Up Kit!! Bear in mind you ideally have to use their downpipe included with the kit and the mani actually changes the position of the turbo slightly. You'll also need an external wastegate and a CT9 with the wastegate flap welded or plated shut. They are having an anniversary sale at the moment which ends in five days so I'd be quick to take advantage. Anniversary Sales Prices!!! Sasha is awesome to deal with and easy to get in contact with. Products have a good lead time also. Defintely a name you can trust and the aftersales is always there if you need more support. Due to the time differences between UK and Sri Lanka you will get a reply around 2 in the morning. Hope this helps. Joz
  16. Just a quick update to freshen things up. All Stage 2 mods have arrived (WEPR fmic & mani) and am picking up the blitz decat Sunday afternoon Will be on the way to Jays Garage on Monday to make the trip up to SS for rolling road and engine checkup. If we can get anything else sorted that day it'd be a real bonus, got a bright and early start Just been out in the wee beastie and she defo rocks for a standardish power setup. I'll make sure to take some vids and photos to boost up this thread Joz
  17. Everyone's ambitions and situations are different I went all out and didn't get much return performance wise because tuning the n/a can be very unpredictable/experimental and expensive. I went through all the mapping and all it gave me was a better fuel curve. I have the most respect for everyone who is sticking with the FE's and trying things that are different. For example Joel's NOS project and Steed's itb'd Seo. Without sounding big headed I've probably spent the most on an n/a EP and it IS hard work for little gain. I must say that I did enjoy the experimental side of things and having the chance to try out different manifolds, full rebuilt engine, fhe internals, p+p'd head etc, it makes you appreciate the car so much more as decent n/a parts and options are scarce. I find the FTE is a very nice performance increase but its not without its drawbacks - more fuel/oil usage, higher insurance and mod costs really do spiral out of control if you are uber enthusiastic. However it has so much more proven potential and you have many more tuning options and parts open to you. You get exactly what you pay for. It is the next logical progression and you won't look back. I wish the current group of n/a tuners on UKSC the very best and hope that they can discover/unlock some things that I didn't. Answering the original question, its what your n/a project is worth to you that counts, but please think very carefully as it could cost you a lot of money. Those that are already so far ahead in their projects and can afford to, push on and show/prove all the naysayers wrong and be unique Joz
  18. Sweet updates as usual bro, civic rad looks the muttleys in your bay 2.30am? Pah doesn't beat our 3am bleeding fingers jam If you still fancy the SR dials I'll take them on my next costa visit. I'm also changing to a WEPR so I'd let my Ed mani go for a steal I'll be on mot duties next month, freaking hate it lol. Joz
  19. As said, just save up and turn dreams into reality... Thats for car parts, not women Unless you're a sugar daddy of course! Wait til you have to put a full tank of petrol into one guys lol Joz
  20. Depends on what your budget is Joel bro Do you want JDM or cheaper gauges? I'm going DEFI later on, but this site has some interesting stuff, worth a look Xyberauto Joz
  21. No worries ;) Top price you will get for an n/a engine excluding gearbox nowadays is around £150 in good working order. Its just finding a buyer in need of one. Joz
  22. £800 will get you a decent (working and running) 2nd hand 4EFTE engine package with all wiring looms/gearbox and driveshafts sourced by Jays Garage. I'd recommend a GT engine (stronger rods) over a Glanza engine if given the choice with a glanza turbo unit (CT9b) £250 for hybrid wiring job from weejohn (integrates fte wiring into your 4efe loom = plug and play) Rear axle with disc brakes are not necessary but a bonus. All work is done in N.Ireland, have just had mine done by the same team. Installation is inexpensive as long as you are willing to learn something and have a good approach to the project. Awesome results. Any extra bits you will have to buy yourself (decent exhaust system/boost gauge etc) Also depends on how serious you want the base to be, for example I had my engine fully rebuilt (cost me a right nut) but I'd have nothing less. A 2nd hand engine will need rebuilt eventually expecially if it has many miles. Highly recommended as the most hassle free and satisfying engine conversion solution in N.Ireland plus you have all the support you need if something goes wrong. There will always be a 'teething' process once a new engine has been installed. All you need is time and money and make sure you can get insured on the beast to be. If you want to get in contact with Jay please pm me and I'll be happy to give you his contact number. Nanglebadger can also vouch for this as he has had the conversion done too. Hope this helps. Joz
  23. Can't believe this has already happened to your pride and joy Ste man. I once had my old corolla windscreen smashed in broad daylight. I guess all you can do is be positive and look onward and upward like you said buddy. Karma will get those mofos good and proper, don't worry. Just try not to lose interest, you have plenty of good times ahead with this one. All the best. Joz
  24. Glad you came to a decision mate Just like me you've invested too much time into that EP91 chassis and have become attached to it as a result. Make sure to shop around and I hope insurance treats you well. You are now on the true path Joz
  25. Update - Stage 2 Tuning Commences Stage 2 is now up and running Have ordered a brand new WEPR FMIC and WEPR CT9 mani. Waiting on a mint Blitz Decat to become available also. The HKS actuator now sets boost @0.8bar = boosty mcboost. Wont be long now to see SS for an engine check and RR. The Evo Recaros are going back in with some new seat rails from a secret source Also have a new gear knob on the way to replace the JAM I just sold, should be fun ^^ So many TDO4 kits are coming up for sale but for now I'm going to get the most outta the CT9. Expect a few photo updates soon. Joz
