  1. Awesome updates Can't wait to see the detailing pics. Joz
  2. If you are proposing to running a 5E bottom end I'd at least go with the 5EFHE pistons to be on the safe side. They are at least an upgrade over the stock 5EFE rods which are as thin as the 4EFE ones. If not going forged then the 5EFHE rods with 4EFTE pistons are the weapon of choice. I have a set of 5EFHE rods and pistons (selling together) spare if you are interested. and they are not too easy to find. If you were going to use the FHE pistons all you would need is new piston rings but they are higher compression. However the 4EFTE pistons (lower compression) would be ideal as you are going
  3. There was no need to apologise mate lol Completely your preference, the TRD, Blitz, K&N are all decent. Nobody can really choose for you. Joz
  4. They will both fit Ali as stated earlier Turbo panel filter is the exact same fitment as n/a! Joz
  5. Starlet n/a and UK Paseo injectors are both 195cc buddy. The 5EFHE ones are 225cc, 4EFTE is 295cc. If you are not close to maxing out the current injectors then there is no real need to upgrade as you don't want to overfuel/flood the engine. Don't be fooled into thinking just adding bigger injectors alone will add more power, especially as there is no additional air coming from anywhere. Joz
  6. Very sad times that are not even under their control. Sincere thoughts go out to all who are out there. Joz
  7. Welcome back to the site Rick We all never really leave this place at all! Looking forward to seeing your new build. Joz
  8. Congrats Id So nearly there mate. Keep it up! Joz
  9. Have an awesome day man and enjoy your cool cake! Joz
  10. I had it setup this way by Jay and my engine builder Secret Steve The top pipe is venting to atmosphere (through a hole in the chassis) as the catch tank system should not be completely sealed (closed off) or it may cause excess crankcase pressure. Normally the pipe coming from the inlet mani is attached to the pcv valve but as I have the catch tank, it is now blanked off. The vacuum is usually drawn from the inlet mani by the pcv valve which decreases under load (blowby occurs). So the other two pipes from the pcv valve and the rocker cover breather itself connect to the catch tank instead.
  11. Your welcome mate Let us know how you progress. Joz
  12. The 4EFE cover has the same pcv valve and position as the 4EFTE cover. It just has the breather pipe in a different position and is smaller in diameter. If you must use one it gives you an excuse to use a catch tank to accomodate the smaller breather. It won't be detrimental to your engine if done right. 4EFE cover on my setup with catch tank. Breather hose on inlet manifold is blocked off. Hose on top of the catch tank is to atmosphere (open) The tank is getting filled so it's doing its job. Joz
  13. Emanage Blue for £250 here Emanage Ultimate full kit here I'd go for the ultimate as it has more features and a little more tunability but a bit more expensive @£400+. However many use the Blues for tuning with no problems. They won't hang around for long. EP82 use 2 pin connectors and EP91 3 pin connectors to plug into the ecu plugs so be sure to check if a field harness is included. Entry level EMS units can also be had for around the £400-£500 mark. Tune it once, tune it right and it will save you in the long run. Joz
  14. A full respray is the only solution and for an EP bumper look at around £100 minimum for a decent job. Touching it up will leave it looking far worse. At least the bumper itself is damaged and its just the paint. Exterior work soon mounts up sadly Joz
  15. Spring cleaning sounds spot on dude. A well maintained functioning EP is hard to beat! Joz
  16. Few V's and GTs come and go round my area but they either get damaged/totalled, engine trouble or the owners banned lol. Joz
  17. Brings back memories Now thats what I call some damn good progress. Racetech goodies look way too good to ignore. Few more steps closer broski Joz
  18. Hey Bean Its the diagram of the 4EFTE differential if thats possible. The shims are a long list with various sizes. Its a pain that toyodiy doesnt have the diagrams anymore = lots of stuff missing. What was so handy about it was that it had the prices etc too lol. Cheers Joz
  19. They are available from Toyota mate. I got the part numbers off Toyodiy but obviously it is not as easy now seeing as the diagrams are missing. They come in many different sizes (a long list) measured in a few thousandths. Only thing is it is not possible to know the exact size/thickness you need. You will only need the one. I had to buy a small selection which cost a little and had Chris (ccm) fit each one until the right one fit. You only need a new shim if there is slack between your diff and your gearbox (a little play) which you have found that you do. The reason some people don't r
  20. What is your budget and are you after aluminium piping or stainless steel piping? Large core or small core? All will need bumper trimming to a certain extent. There is certainly a difference in quality in the piping materials used. I'd highly recommend a brand new stainless steel WEPRkit for peace of mind if you love your EP enough. The hotpipe also avoids going over the hot exhaust manifold and their cores are Greddy/Trust. Joz
  21. Keep up the good work Liam. Remember it's a fresh start so be sure to give it a chance Joz
  22. No worries mate Having done more research it also seems the n/a gearbox diff is smaller (as well as aftermarket units being rare). Have edited my post to reflect this as accurately as possible. There are so many sources of info you don't know what to trust these days. Like I said there will always be variants/exceptions. All the best with your GB mate and keep us updated. It seems all set to go. Joz
  23. Its a C154 mate (4EFTE is C152/C156 (GT & Glanza had variants) and C151 is the oem lsd gearbox) according to this gear ratio thread, here and here. Just to let you know that some earlier GTs came with a 6 bolt diff from the factory so the 6 bolt theory is not just related to the 4EFE. There will always be exceptions. C150 series for your gearbox group buy is 100% as long as everyone is running a standard 8 bolt differential 4EFTE gearbox. 4EFE & 4EFTE box differences are the ratios and the number of diff bolts to hold the diff. The n/a diff is smaller according to this thread and at
