Durmz here are some pics Jay took of how the your Room bar fits into my EP91. your Room Bar The seat belt loops through the bar and the bolt on the right has been added for extra strength (same applies for other side), usually the bar isn't as solid. Joz -

Thanks for the kind comments lads @Lewis the 4EFE gear ratios just feel like they are on steriods lol. I'm just at 1k more rpm at motorway speeds. The 0-60 accel is quicker but a lower top speed (sounds ideal for trackwork). Still getting used to everything of course I have a GT gearbox waiting in the garage if this ever goes but it made sense to use it as its QUAIFE equipped. No point forking out for a brand new one just yet. @Durmz the your room bar I have is the exact same one for EP82, the only difference is an extra bolt hole on each bracket needed (for extra sturdyness) and a slight trim of said brackets. I will take a closeup pic later. As for the your parts themselves, some of them are very unique (fender braces) as no one else does them but they are good quality and Im pleased to have them fitted. Everything they have listed as EP82 will fit besides the rear lower arm bar which I am unsure of. I will be investing in a rollcage much later to finish the chassis off. Off to get some PS fluid now as mine is a bit low Joz -
Nice progress Iddy. Not long now til you can enjoy the demo car! Joz

Cheers for all the appreciative comments lads Now I have her back she gets washed after every blast. Have also found out the oil needs topped up more often than before. I think the engine bay is nicely balanced now in terms of colour scheme, am gonna keep it that way. Really pleased to have such a good base to start from. Plenty of room for improvement, I assure you. The transfer from 5EFHE to 4EFTE is pretty significant, in that you can drive it normally but as soon as you go over half throttle you have so much more usable power and potential in your hands. Can really feel all the suspension mods coming into play now whereas before they were not even being tested. Future plans are to get a WEPR FMIC and turn the boost up to 0.8bar then 1 bar. When that time comes I'll be ready to pay Chris a visit for some e-management. SS that did my engine rebuild has offered me a complimentary dyno run so that is also on the cards. Hybrids & TD0 can wait til next year! Credit goes to Jay's Garage for all the fitting. All in all the EP has a new lease of life and a bright future ahead Joz -

That was out of the blue Amjad! Now you have two EPs on the driveway. Huge developments. Glad you got to taste GT boost dude, I bet it finally woke you up. If I could choose again it'd be a GT. The damage is defo repairable, looks like a nice project you have on your hands. All the health to her mate Joz -

Cheers lads Have been a bit too busy trying to remove the 'perma-grin' off my face than take pics lol! Will defo get them soon, but let me tell you its a different kettle of fish driving an FTE. I'm just so pleased that the insurance quote went well also. Really need new seats as the 98 spec oem ones are waaay to high. The learning experience continues Joz -

Cheers Gents! I've already cleaned her twice since she's been back I'm going to be more than happy to enjoy what the CT9 has to offer for now. Back in the n/a days it was always about chasing the next mod to squeeze that tiny ounce of power. Now I can just chill and take it easy. 'Enjoyment' and 'reliability' are certainly the words of the moment. Glad you enjoyed the run in her dude, don't forget Jay is a demon once he gets into an EP and I can see he really knows how to use 'THOSE' brakes lol!! I'm taking advantage of WEPR's anniversary discounts this month so a new WEPR FMIC is on the cards, can't wait for that. The car has a new lease of life now and I'm going to make sure its a good one. Just got the insurance quote for the 4EFTE conversion this minute and it has only gone up by £100 compared to my 5E! So paying £670 with 4 years protected ncb. Result for UKSCNI!!!! Time to start her up... This is where it begins all over again "Hajime" Joz -

The EP returned home today with the keys handed back after an extended Costa visit Big Thanks of epic proportions to Jay's Garage for 'boosting' the whole project and sorting out the engineers inspection this morning. Insurance are on the case and hopefully I'll be driving this legally tomorrow Meister R's are on and the whole car is tidied up with a few wee bits such as new steering wheel. plates etc. Will give her a polish then post some fresh pics. The Rays ideally need a refurb but they can wait, too much catching up to do. Plans for now are to get used to 0.7bar boost and then turn her into a 1 bar superstar. That'll be WEPR fmic and CCM time She is running the 4EFE gearbox with QUAIFE and is working a treat so far. Its great to return to the EP after so long in the BMW! No matter how much you try to fight it, an FTE will eventually find its way into your EP engine bay where it belongs Joz -
No worries dude! Joz

Car looks great on the Meisters Dan I've just had mine fitted as well and they are awesome! Easily the best setup available in terms of cost and features. If its any consolation I also passed on my 2nd attempt. Its not til October but keep up the momentum and be ready for anything by polishing up your skills. That also includes awareness (like your emergency stop) and observation (mirrors) and you could very well finish the test with a manoeveur e.g reverse park. Could you please pm me what part numbers you used for your clear front indicator units and how much they were? Its just mine need replacing and there are two types. One with reflective silver bit and one with just grey. I take it yours is the reflective type (the curved part inside the unit) which is what I'm after? That'd be really helpful dude. Cheers Joz
