  7. Dual purpose, I'm liking it bro! Enjoy! Flowers are nice! Joz
  8. Which inlet mani are you changing to mate? If the 4 branch corolla one then yes it will make a nice difference on the regular 4EFE but not on a FTE unless the plenum and intake chamber are enlargened/elongated. What engine do you have? Joz
  9. Amjad be sure to tell him which route to take, i.e to avoid removing the fuel rail etc :harhar: Also the mani will need to be re-earthed or it wont run right. Joz
  10. The new fenders look so sweet on the car mate, good job to all who prepped and painted them. This is really an extreem ep, oozes character This is making me desperate to get mine back on the road sooo badly lol. Did you see my sorry shell at Jays :harhar:? Joz

  14. Thats great news bro Totally looking forward to rolling on these with the new build soon. Joz
  15. There is the benefit of the higher rev limit as rmsnoel says but I found my 4EFE limited at 6200 rpm. It will run on the 4E ecu but not as it really should. The 5E ecu could work, its 50/50, only prob is with the immobiliser. The car starts but won't idle and dies. Joz
  16. C'mon Jaystar, the Red EP has been on holiday in the Costa long enough ;) Joz
  17. Just had WeeJohn mention that early FTE boxes had 6 bolt diffs too. Its best to inspect what diff you have, but the safe bet is 8 bolts as that is the most common ;) If you bought it new from TRD for example it would certainly come with 8 bolt fitment. Joz
  18. Will be sweet to see dude. Joz
  19. Make it a UKSC preview exclusive Dan or gtfo ;) Joz
  20. Your GT gearbox holds a diff with 8 bolts so get the TRD diff with 8 bolts. As long as it is an original GT or Glanza gearbox it will be 8 bolt diff fitment, 6 bolt won't fit. If the box has ever been changed with or without your knowledge get it inspected by someone in the know to make sure. The 6 bolt diff essentially functions the same but fits a 6 bolt diff fitment gearbox such as the n/a starlet gearboxes. Basically the only difference is how many bolts hold the diff into place on the crown wheel inside the gearbox. You can see the number of bolts it is by the number of bolt holes on the diff. I run a QUAIFE ATB diff in my 4EFE n/a gearbox and it is 6 bolts. Will be using it for my FTE conversion. An aftermarket lsd is a welcome addition to any upgraded drivetrain setup. The difference is quite noticeable. Joz
  21. The 5EFE injectors are the same size as 4EFE which are 195cc. It is the 5E-FHE injectors which are different, being 225cc. For the record 4EFTE injectors are 295cc. Even though the 5EFE engine can run with the 4EFE ecu, it is not running properly as the 5E is a lower compression ratio (9:4:1 vs 9:6:1) and will have slightly different fuel/timing maps as intended. Joz
  22. The 5E flywheel is the same size @200mm, same as 4EFE. Its the 4EFTE flywheel that is larger @212mm which wont fit the 5E crank bolt pattern. '4E' is too loose a term when you have two very similar yet also slightly different engines. I cross referenced the part numbers which confirm that both 4EFE and 5EFE clutches are the same. The flywheel part numbers are different which reinforces the fact that altho the 4EFE flywheel size is the same @200m, it will not fit the 5E bolt pattern. I ran my 4EFE gearbox no probs with my 5EFE and 5EFHE spec. Short answer Ste: Clutch YES - Flywheel NO - Gearbox YES Joz

  25. Just want to say thanks very much to Chanelle for sorting me out an awesome deal for an HKS centre section. Communication was great all round and the item arrived within the week as promised. Can't recommend highly enough, a lovely person to deal with. Very happy as this will help my build big time. Cheers Joz
