    LOWRED

Received my magnecores promptly and he even threw in a dizzy cap! Top man!
  4. Or, take the bov off all together and get shove a duracel battery in there.
  5. Some bovs such as the Greddy Type S, Hks ssqv and many others can adjust the spring tension. Just wind it all the way in and the valve stops dumping, leading to turbo stall and that lovely chatter.
  6. Id be interested in these, thought they were a pretty good price anyway! How much can you get them for? Pm me if you want to mate.
  7. My mate bought this kit recently, looks top quality. I believe the mounts are identical, but id ring them to double check if you havent already Edit: ^^^^ answer to your Q
  8. Yeh man, sounds like a plan
  9. Like the one on Tgtt sparky? Expect its pretty good, blitz have always been known to make good ebcs, even the old ones. As for the original question, the hdi will do the job you want it to do mate. If you dont like it or are not impressed, sell it and buy something else. Its your decision what you think of it at the end of the day.
  10. Awesome shots mate! You have to show me that place sometime man, bet the roads are heaven
  11. lol, I just realised that as soon as I posted My steering issue will have to be sorted first though. As I had feared it wasnt the tracking that was out, but something else. Gonna make a thread on it now as I've got to figure the problem out!
  12. WTf, shoulda told me you were going bro! I was gonna go but my tracking is OUT, bigtime. Hopefully getting it sorted out today. If you're there next sunday Ill be there. The White V, did it have white 5 spokes and an HDi front mount perchance?
  13. I agree with the above. Its not all about bhp, its how the car drives too! If you want a guaranteed 200 bhp, go for a TD-04. Thats by no means cheap though. I have a hybrid which feels very quick, but the most I've had bhp wise is 182 out of it with 200 ftlbs. An emanage tune will probs squeeze that 200 bhp but thats pushing it. If you want more you need to use more boost which is venturing into the danger zone after 1.1 bar on stock internals. There is no easy way of saying this, but there isnt such a thing as a cheap AND safe way of gaining 200 bhp on the 4e, you have you get your wallet
  14. Yep, good point above. If you're turbo seals on the exhaust side have gone, you'll get lots of white smoke!
  15. lol, I cant argue with that. As much as I'd like to say go for it as the blue looks nice, I have to say no purely on the basis that those are literally my new wheels in that pic and too see another identical pair rolling around the local area would probs make me cry lmao. It was bad enough for tucka, he made a topic saying goodbye to them, thats how unique they are. At the end of the day though, you could buy any nice looking rim and have it custom painted and itll look sick. Why not try something unusual like others have mentioned, imagine BBS rims (the ones popular with the golfs) in a
  16. Sweet work mate, will be keeping a close eye on how this new turbo shapes up.
  17. Nice mate, I like it with that effect. Your car reminds me of mine when I had the old grids on.
  18. Thanks for the info mate, very helpful. My tuner views somewhat tally with what you said, but yes there are some lean spots in the mid range for definate. The stock fuel pressure is 2.4 bar. I was running 2.5 at the time so not much over stock at all. I have just got back from the rollers with graphs to compare this run with my current one, only using 3 bar of fuel pressure instead. Below: Red Line, bhp and afr on 2.5 bar fuel pressure. Green line, tonights run using 3 bar fuel pressure. Note the drop of 12 bhp. Next graph shows a run using 2.8 bar fuel pressure. Closer to the power on 2
  19. Thats an amazing project mate, love the diffuser idea and the length youve gone to in the handling department! A lot of people are just after huge power figures without much regard to chassis mods. You've gone all out there man, nice one.
  20. I heard of only one other issue with one of his, and it turned out to be something else as opposed to a crack, the customer was just overreacting at the time iirc. These things happen at the end of the day, you cant make a large quantity of high stress products and not have an issue with one of them every now and then. Dane has shown his true colours in the way he dealt with the other chap (which was very well), and I trust him totally. His new range of manifolds that are guaranteed now and look much better again. I just wish he had those out back then as I would almost definately have bought
  21. ^^^LOL Well Im sure its a one off as Danes manifolds have not had any problems in the past, but mine almost definately has a crack, quite a big one by the look of it located in the centre of the collector. Upon blipping the throttle, I can feel the gases escaping quite prominently, so I can imagine the potential escapage on full boost. I have checked that the bolts are tight, all the mani gaskets, studs and nuts were toyota brand new parts too. Im sure Dane will sort it out, though hes a top bloke.
  22. Yeh, mine sounds louder, and very tractor-ish when you get the bonnet open and have a listen under throttle blips.
  23. lol, it may still be a little ct9, but it has at least been hybridised to keep it from dropping off in the higher revs. When I first started using it I dont ever remember it dropping off at all. It only seems a recent development, but I am open to the possibility that even a hybrid cant hold full boost to redline.
  24. Hmm, thats what Im thinking, It might explain my last two RR graphs, high torque upon intial boost, but power dropping off as the revs rise. Hence instead of 200bhp and 190 ft/lbs for arguments sake, im getting 180bhp and 195 ft/lbs. Annoying problem if it is the manifold, but solvable none the less!
