  1. Hey guys, after some advice and opinions on this. If, for the sake of argument my manifold was cracked and blowing, could/would it cause a substantial adverse affect on my boost level? My boost comes in and peaks as usual but instead of settling out, it keeps dropping (for instance it would come in and peak at 1.1 bar but drop to 0.9 bar past 5krpms) I have a feeling your answers will be yes, but I wouldnt mind some opinions of people who have experienced this problem before. Cheers, Pav
  2. Cheers for the info people, I thought I was missing something. I swear I read about running approx 3bar for 1bar boost before too. Glanzacl - I have an Avcr mate :surrender: Apart from that, stock ecu. I was pretty impressed with the result considering, but I defo agree that more fueling is needed. Good luck with the RR tomorrow, how will they check your timing? I need to get mine checked too now you mention it.
  3. Hey guys, I recently sold my Blitz ecu so was back to standard management. This was with a view to getting an emanage as a replacement, which soon went out the window as I spent £700 on a clutch, new synchros, flywheel etc and £300 some new wheels :surrender: More recently, I fitted an Fse regulator and gauge plus a Greddy fcd and took the car to the rollers to be setup. I got them both for free so I thought why not give them a try and see what power my car can make with that setup. It made 178 bhp and 194 ft/lbs at slightly over 1 bar of boost. What concerns me is the regul
  4. Lol, your back box must have been slightly smaller as mine slid in like a glove, but needed securing badly. I made the mistake of not securing it properly and it must have flown out while on the motorway! :surrender: Was an awesome idea though, cheers Idrees :drunk2:
  5. That Dave burwash system is gorgeous. Blueflame systems are pretty good for a comprimise between silencing and sound on boost as they have no presilencers, just a very large back box. Mine sounded pretty quiet in comparison to others exhuasts, but on boost it sounded very nice like most starlets do :drunk2: I have another solution to your problem which I have done recently. I had a custom 4 inch back box made up to replace the blue flame when the baffles inside it decided to die, this new backbox is insanely loud on boost (almost deafening on over-run sometimes!). Then what I did, was order
  6. The Ecu will most likely be mapped for a Ct9 at 1bar of boost but will work most effeciently for what ever boost it was mapped for. It will run less boost perfectly safe, but will run slightly richer on a lower boost setting, limiting power output. So in otherwords it be fine. :surrender: Just find out what the Jam was mapped for originally if you can, and get it on the rolling road to check the afrs and power output at certain boost levels. My old blitz ecu for instance was still running quite rich even at 1 bar epsecially higher up in the rev range.
  7. First car I owned: Rover! Started out like this: And ended up like: A 5 door too!
  8. I'll be very honest here and this is all in my opinion lol. I bought a second hand dawes device running my hybrid (cost me a tenner). It brought the boost in fast and held it very well. You set it to a point, read the boost and adjust acordingly. The boost would rise higher in higher gears and there was no way around this (its just a characteristic of boost against a higher resistance). I now have a Apexi Avcr. It was complicated to setup (to say the least!) and cost me over £200. But it has some advantages. You can control the boost at different rpms, you can stop overboost in the h
  9. I see, when you say slightly, how much can it vary do you know? my avcr has read .91 bar so far which is 13.2 psi and no fuel cut or ecu light has appeared yet. There are no other mods to the ecu ie an fcd.
  10. Hey guys I have a bit of a technical question that few may be able to answer precisely and correctly. Firstly, what is the exact level of boost (in psi or bar) that the fuel cut limiter comes in on the stock ep91 ecu? Secondly, what is the exact maximum boost that the stock ecu will fuel to? I have read previously that its 13.9 psi. Please someone with in depth knowledge on this, can you let me know. A lot of people seem to think boost cut comes in a 0.85 bar from what I've read. This does not appear to be the case at all after some peak hold boost monitoring on my avcr when on my way home
  11. What boost are you running bro?
  12. That made me laugh so much for some reason! Pretty wicked though
  13. How long is the Tunnel Sparky? That is very important. lol
  14. Ooooh, unlucky man I feel for ya. Those hks ones are a pig with the c clips! Thats why good old toby designed ones with R clips instead
  15. I'll call Sparkys offer with £11.50 and a packet of wine gums. Oh by the way, what does he expect for it? Ep82 ecus for some reason tend to go for less than the Glanza ones. Anymore than £450 and itll be a while before it sells!
  16. Very smart mate, love the rear lip and the wheels! Nice photography too
  17. Theyre much like Jam/Blitz/Sard Ecus mate. If you can, find out what it was mapped for. Im sure someone will be after one for their gt!
  18. Are we talking about the optional 96 lip on a glanza? If its made from fibreglass then is most probably unrepairable! If from plastic then maybe. Theres a new trader on tgtt who has started supplying them on frp too.
  19. Nice pics peeps, I like your wheels Armand. Heres my crack for the month:
  20. Gall - that pic looks insane. G Love - I'll take the 2nd one to go thanks.
  21. People sweat my Honda and if they dont.......F*ckin Ricers. Genius!
