  1. as above, just a little light up toy if its not a wideband even if it is why have a analogue wideband? digital is where its at!!
  2. iirc they are the same apart from colour......the thing with armrests is you want all the brackets there useless without them lol ive got one sitting here that needs a bracket and a full one in the car wicked mod wouldnt be without mine now
  3. you can get pretty much any Backbox you like, the rest of the exhaust is different for obvs reasons like the floor pan/car length etc etc the sound will also be different as above ^
  4. i want this wideband, it costs around the same price as the AEM but there gay imo and the NGK comes with the NTK sensor along with awesome build quality and zero faults i could find with it http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/products/performance/afx.asp it has a 0-5v output but im not sure on the data logger part or which i need to get to do the job. I want to save the rpm vs afr as i drive so i can pull them off and analyze them on my laptop then tune the SAFCII accordingly.........so what can i use? This is for my N/A i have two aims: 1) to get some more power out of it 2) learn about mappin
  5. inc back box? i`m wanting a decat + wideband bung put in too so i assume it will bump the price up
  6. As above, the exhaust is blowing somewhere on my N/A probably the backbox.......again + its rusty to f**k all the way thru also sounds gay ALL the time so i want a full system made all the way thru including a decat + backbox probably 2" pipework? wheres the best place in manchester?
  7. best way is to ask around, even then be cautious its your money thats on the line not theres so id still check everything i remember a case with some lad i bought some speedline alloys off and apparantly even after his "mates" knew the car he was buying was a shitter they never said anything to him till he realised when doing some work on it best advice i can give without being there is if in doubt walk away no reason necessary and say youll think about it
  8. brakes/alloys/exterior/ice/suspension is a simple visual thing take a print out of the stuff and check it off...any extras and keep hush anything missing point it out Transmission - jack it up and spin the wheels cant remember what happens whn youve got a LSD but its been mentioned - Youve had a EP? youll notice the gear shift and the TRD usually comes with a leather knob -ask someone what the clutch is like and see if you can notice it compare with your own experience engine -the walbro pump is loud apparantly, listen out for it - check the boost gauge when you drive it does it register 1.
  9. cars like this which raise eyebrows need to be looked at by a couple of lads who know there way round a ep so as not to miss anything.....that way atleast one person will notice something if anything
  10. core plug? they can pop out as a safety feature to prevent the block cracking if theres no antifreeze inside it just plain water when the temp outside drops
  11. career wise is been the most definitive, waited 3 years and saw alot of set backs to get on the course im now doing, just gotta keep at it now and come out with a 70% first year average then my aim is to qualify with a 2:1 apart from that its been a up/down year in most respects....im glad its over can now start fresh got a clear image of where i want the EP to be = a nice comfy mile muncher some of my close mates will be finishing uni this year too and heading back to there home land/different parts of england so my aim is to spend as much quality time with them as i can.....meeting up will
  12. yeah you should be fine just put a pushy switch on the rhs of the dash where the rear fog light switch is and let the tester know its there if asked
  13. iirc you can add a temp switch within drivers reach on the dash to get it thru....mabe get luke to have a look? can sort it out properly later
  14. The above car came to us from a family friend with starting problems a new battery later it still refused to start after messing around with it we managed to start it and move it connected to a starter pack lol after replacing the alt it again started with a jump start the belt was damaged due to the pulley being different on the recon alt so the old pulley and a new belt were added!..........now it still refuses to start!! current stats on the car -Plenty of fuel coming thru -fuel pump turns on -Spark on all 4 leads -alt replaced -new battery -tried a different starter motor from a working

  16. wouldnt take wiki as gospel truth......hows the convesrion going?
  17. did it have the same throttle body? larger injectors? mines a 96....has a second gen the first gen had a 4-2-1 mani on the exhaust side too
  18. this ^ Just to add, to adjust the idle on the N/A its a little different they dont have the said "screw".......the only way we can adjust it is via a small allen screw at the throttle cable end on the throttle body. this is factory set and has some sort of yellow liquid seal on so should never need messing with......meaning if the car does have idle issues try and sort them and use this only as a last resort..... throttle body gasket can cause idle issues clean the ICV Reset the TPS (calibrate it) this was the issue with amjad clean all the earths + add a few more service it the list is end
  19. what was wrong with the 306? not looked at the common problems yet
