  1. Yup you can ^ (starlet tim did so if i remember correctly in his conversion) but the clutch plate + housing itself goes onto the flywheel all you change on the gearbox is the bearing....would think the clutch to be bigger on FTE so no fit.
  2. Me and craig have the same problem but with 1st gear.......gear selector bushes you say? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Starlet-GT-Tu...id=p3286.c0.m14 Are they what we need?
  3. Follow the bottom hose up you`ll see 2x 10mm nuts (let it cool and drain you coolant before hand) literally 2min job pop off the old seal and put it round the new one.....

    Speedo

Its km till it was converted, then its mph so.....reads 40000 (conversion to mph takes place) reads 80000......40000km (24584mph) + 40000mph =64854miles Think thats right????
  5. Its got a lethal stance now mate, looks abit "odd" on the rear (1st pic )
  6. Excellent service part list there mate, would have ordered some parts from motorfactors (bash me a pm with anything you havnt ordered )
  7. When upto temp/over temp does the bottom rad hose feel colder than the top? and is it more "squeezy"/less pressurised? if you feel it is colder the thermostat isnt opening.
  8. Coolant runs thru the TB to stop the valve freezing in cold conditions, but it may also cause the air being taken in to the engine to be warmed up.....good mod for those in a hot country not sure on gains though.
  9. so?.........its not holding boost?
  10. sometimes...... "i love you" is all thats needed
  11. gonna get my next lot off ebay £3 odd for 5......lol get a GB on the go
  12. uno, he only made it as far as the petrol station when i went to fill up his car was parked on the side....he was in front of me in the que
  13. Depends on his insurance to be honest GT might be the cheapest option..... Im up for regular meets, just really skint atm no progress to show
  14. No worries....what the clubs all about nice to have a conversion in the group or even a GT....dont get a V they smell
  15. Looks loads better mate, really nice stance.......think moneys killing all progress for N/A owners dread to think how the V/GT lads feel
  16. Nice meet today, there wasnt a match on!..........went back past the OT ground not a single car in sight. b4d1sy mate hope you took it easy on the way home

  18. The sticker is something to do with the ignition timing....procedure on how to do it (bridge terminal, idle rises, check timing mark is on 10 etc etc)
  19. The car will start without a map attached but will run lyk shit the diagnostic check is the same, if the EM light continually flashes all is well.....dont forget the em light doesnt have to come on for a code to be present could a imobliser or alarm kill be killing it off?
  20. save for better and faster, true.......but for the time being with a budget of say £50-100 you could make it more fun to drive.......after all thats what us N/A owners are doing making the most of what we have till we can afford to get better filter + cold air feed good service, leads etc manifold
  21. Dont full agree with the glanza rear axle being needed on a N/A, 15% or so of the braking is done by it. braided lines, bmcs, fresh pads, 5.1 fluid, new shoes on the rear (cylinder if needed) and your away :harhar:
  22. I have front braided lines and a idrees bmc stopper....brakes feel spongy (may need a full re-bleed again) but if you really whack the brakes it stops quite fast, mind the pads need to be checked for wear. in my opinion thats all we N/A lads need basic upgrade like that fresh pads + fluid.
