N/A exhaust manifold, are there aftermarkets available?
StarletRick replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Lifestyle General
the difference from 4e to 5e is minimal mate. itll be good for 5-8hp i recon if youve got a good exhaust. and ill have a look, if theres enough interest i can do a group buy, i know ALOT of americans who would help me out getting these over here. edit: i just found some on ebay that are in houston texas..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PaceSetter-...sspagenameZWD1V if youd have asked me this a few months ago i could have sorted you all out! -
the glanza ones have folds in though. so its not too hard. if i had an NA to work with, i could get one made
-
yeah idrees is right. i usually apply my first coat of laquer while the top coat of paint is still wet.
-
yeah, its that bad.... first thing you need to do is get some good discs and pads and some braided lines (i have some ZEP Racing ones for sale ^^) then once youve doen that. get some decent shocks and springs/coilovers, and then get an anti roll bar. then... get a boost gauge. then... open the bonnet
-
i could probably set some made up if i had a template..... my mate is an engineer remember.
-
dont get it to hot because the paint boils and goes shit. just like 30 seconds to warm it up.
-
a hair dryer is a rattle canners best friend...
-
youve put a heavt coat of laquer on that phil, and its got cold before its had time to dry. you prick.
-
its all pretty easy to do. ill PM you my phone number. give me a call if you have any questions, ive had 4e's in bits many, many times.
-
the guy is like ubes confused about them... because im obviously too pro for him. ive bought set from japan and im going to get him to replica them up then split the manufacturing cost with you lovely lot. id quite like hardened steel though, that will be winz. ill keep you updated.

the 5e block is 9mm taller. 9mm is notihng, it will fit fine. -
before you even open the bonnet, get it handling and stopping right. thats the main problem with starlets, they are fucking crap at cornering and stopping.

-

http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e74647824 that mean anything to you NA boys? it looks tweaked, and my jap isnt too great, but it talks about being upgraded for an exhaust? that sticker mean anything? anyone awnt to take a punt and buy it?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Epoxy-resin-glue-15-...1QQcmdZViewItem you dont need loads, i did my glovebox with just one of these tubes. WEAR LATEX GLOVES because ITS A CUNT TO GET OFF
-
ah ive got the full cluster set. costs about 30 quid, nm. also, if you can see the bare CF, youll need to get it re-epoxy'd. then buffed down. you dont laquer CF, you wet it out with epoxy. you can get epoxy reson on ebay mate. get the clear stuff its about 5 quid a tube. then apply it to the crack. let it dry. buff the fuck out of it and then youre ok. youre still a noob though, you should have run the cunt over.
-
take it off, and see if its cracked. the CF will be ok, its the epoxy that breaks. if not... then get some super fine (like 1800 grit) wet and dry and give it a rub down with some water. then get out some polish and give it a buff. i have some clear indicators on the way over from jdm if you want one mate. ill do it for you at cost. the question is... howd you do it, you big prickface?
-
i cant find a picture.... but its a small plug, that goes into the pressure pressure sensor on the ac pipes, near the battery/NS headlight. you cant bloody miss it!
-
thats the radiator plug. there is another plug on the AC loom that is useless without AC, itll be hanging about. you need to bridge it to make the fan work as it should. ill try and find a decent pic.

mate, redtube.com the hours fly by.

Anyone know how wide Starlet springs should be?
StarletRick replied to DavidAshton's topic in Chassis & Suspension
what ones did you try to fit? the rear ones are smaller than the front. heres a guess with me using my hands as a gauge, lol. the front springs are about 6 inches diameter. and the rears are about 3-4 inches round.
