  1. mine does this aswell mate, its fucking annoying as shit. does about a litre of oil to 1000 miles through the seal.
  2. no mate, jsut brute strength. lol. soak it inside and out in WD40. then try to shock it off.
  3. that is exactly what i was getting at when i said about the young starlet owners (also, 21 is a young driver, regardless of average ownership age). in their eyes they are the best thing in the whole world and nothing can touch them, which is probably due to the fact that they have gone onto a glanza/gt from an NA starlet or something similar (slow and cheap). dont get me wrong, i LOVE starlet more than most people on this board, and i am a seft admited JDM whore. but at least i can see that they are just little fun cars and are not a super weapon like alot of the owners think. its all opin
  4. they are. all E series motors use the same rail. although, you need some crystal lights on that mate
  5. na, for the turbo application the stock one would be more useful. for forced induction you dont really need to finely tune the intake/exhaust runners as much, you just want the air in the chambers and fast as possible.
  6. cant do comfy springs without the height in the front. its just one of those things mate. if you want to sit it down youll need stiff springs.
  7. hahaha, they are a bugger to get off. the easiest way to get them out is once the belt is off, you can drop them down the back of the engine bay and take them out by the right driveshaft. they come out pretty easily once all the bolts are out.
  8. martin, riko was referring to liams post. the stock ex manifold is restricted, not the inlet. as dub said, the stock one can cope with alot of power before it gets restrictive. you can fit the acis manifolds, but they are such a pig to get working right. heres a pic of mine. it shifts the position of the throttle body to the right, so you have to get a new throttle cable, and you have to get soem new intercooler pipes made up for it to work (you can see in the second pic how out it is....) then you have to fanny about with the acis actuator to get that working. and you have to d
  9. if i was in motorsports, i wouldnt go near anything that flies... drivers seem to love dying in them.
  10. heres a pic of a head without a cover on it, seeing as rob forgot ^^;
  11. sorry mate, thats not true. it doesnt matter wether or not they recirculate back to the intake they do exactly the same thing. the only reason most OEM turbo cars recirculate is to keep the noise down. it has nothing to do with how they perform and function.
  12. yeah, the turbo. heres some pics of my kit. im 99% sure you have it now... i can find any pics of the downpipe, but heres the turbo and the little adapter thing. also, you want me to change the title of this topic? its a bit indecisive.
  13. get some pics up of that turbo kit. i think its my old HKS kit. as far as i know i was the only one to have that kit in the UK..
  14. thats crap mate, where did you find that? tgtt? whoever put that is getting it confused with a release valve, they are used in a similar way as a wastegate. a BOV is the exact same as a dump valve, just different names.
  15. thats a good point jay, there is no denying that the EPs were ahead of the field at the time. but they are getting on now, the newest ones are like, 10 years old. the rest of the world has slightly caught up
  16. i know that jap cars are alot better put together. they are all i own due to this. but the last 3 or 4 years renault (as well as ford im sad to admit, and fiat are starting too) have put alot more time into the design and quality of their cars. and they are not as shit as they used to be. euro buld quality is going up, because they know they have to try to compete with jap cars. saying that they all are shit and fall appart just makes you sound like an uneducated numpty.
  17. it wont be like that with every car though mate. my starlet has done some cuntish things in the past. thown off the tensioner pulley/turn a release bearing, etc. its just funny how most young japanese car owners are all high and mighty and everything else in the world is shit. it makes me laugh.
  18. just reading the dumb ass posts that people have put up. the 197 clio, is a good car. i wouldnt own one, i like my glanza. but saying that the 197 is a piee of french shit just makes them look stupid. chances are theyve never even looked at one, let alone driven one.
  19. they are the same thing....... but that aside, if you want to upgrade, and top JDM tuning house will be ok, greddy, hks, blitz, etc.
  20. i love how naive 99% of you lot are. it makes me laugh.
  21. they are ok, but very basic. however it would be good little AFR for your td04 project mate.
  22. youll be ok using a stock CT9 mani on a 9b td04. just weld a flange for the td04 onto the stock mani.
  23. yeah, the GT keys were just boring buts of metal. the ep91 has an equally boring black piece on it..
