Totally Agree Lee! Wheel Hop was my main issue. But main tyres and pressure I think I can crack it!
-
unsure mert!

Sucks dude, she looked strong before that happened! http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import-axles/toyota/starlet/toyota-starlet-90-96-ep82-96-99-ep91-600hp-axle-hub-kit Fuck that tho!

Cheers Phil Your telling me! Im dieing too! ebay, but aint been on there for yonks! Yes mate it wou,d there the same design! Agree with you mert! Simple yes... but very effective! Changed the feel of the car! Well, Japshow was Awesome and Sucked at same time! lol Had a piece of what looked to be metal get flicked up by a car infront and take a chunk out my front bumper! Then on my 2nd strip run, cracked the downpipe after what I can only assume was thanks to quite severe wheel hop. The same thing that looked like it fucked Jamie's CV Joint! Shocking Times too.. 1st run was 15.0 @ 103mph 2nd run was 14.9 @ 108mph Both 60ft times were over 2.8secs lol 10-15mph head wind too. Not too bad for my first attempt haha! Need 15's, 50profile tyres, lower pressures and suspension dialing in! Hopefully no wheel hop then I can focus on launching and shifting! Dont think any EP's ran under 14.1secs tbh.. Gonna be going back on a non show day for some more tries! Wasa good day tho, enjoyed it! Ricky is going to fix my downpipe tormorrow afternoon as I was going down anyways to get the gearbox oil inspected anyways! Met up with Adz and Michael for Tea when I got some V-Power for Japshow: After my first run down pod. Altho i started slow and granny shifted. It was planted lol and Lottie was open to takers all day too and then pretty much fell asleep on Domo all way homes! Quality Day

s1fu... were u the chap in the 5dr tropicana with boost? If so respect mate, was good to have a lil chat with you before we went on strip, you did well with the power you had! Few of us are heading back again to dial in some quarter mile setups if you fancy it matey! Agree its alot tricker then it looks, dont think any of us set anything quicker then 14.1! 2 of us had over 300horse lol Tormorrow afternoon it'll be sorted matey!

Well, an eventful day! Jamie Snapped a CV Joint on the strip, poor lad, having about as much luck as me! If i'd have realised sooner it was you at side of road mate Id have pulled over, didnt realise till Id gone past in my sunburnt, knakered state! I managed to hit a 1foot lump of metal that got flicked up by another car on the motorway trip down :/ Which has taken a chunk out my front bumper! Great! Me & Michael did some runs down the strip too.. Id never been down before and having a freshly built gearbox didnt want to push my luck too much. Granny Shifts haha. Think my best was a 14.9 @ 108mph. Mainly due to a shocking 60foot tbh. If i did a soft launch, had to spool up in gear... If I did a bit harder launch, got severe wheel hopp (which is defo what killed your CV Joint Jamie, should have seen your wheel moving around) which ended up cracking my downpipe! Which stuffed me to do any more runs.... Managed to get her home tho, so all was well.. Its going to be fixed this week You look at the strip and think there will be shit loads of grip and its easy driving in a straight line! I tell you now, it isnt! It has to be down to suspension setup causing my wheel hop, drag racing is seriously not somthing Im clued up on! 15's will defo help tho, so ill be back god dammit strip! I want low 14's or high 13's before the year is out! whitegv also did like 7-8runs think his best was a 14.1 which was really good tbh. His suspension setup had NO wheelhop at all, so I may have to copy! Seems so so smooth off the line, like it should be! That was with nearly goof'd tyres too! So Well Done Dude! Dont think anyone managed lower then 14's? But by all means correct me as I wasnt watching the strip all day Was an awesome day, the weather after 11am, was amazing, so hot and dry! Good crew, Good Laugh! Roll On Japfest 2 now then!

Looking Sexy Rob... Least with a CT9 that Rad will fit in the bay ok CT9's can offer plenty of poke if youve not owned a Boosted EP before believe me When do you think the engine will be going back in? -

Looking Sweet Toff! Coming along nicely my mate! -
Nope. That went walkies withing a month of having it... The bloke sort of tripped, and the emissions tester probe thingy fell into a nearby fiesta's exhaust... As luck would have it... Dont you just love life... Its only for 1 day a year... If you dont know a friendly MOT person haha! Your totally right Morgey mate! Its on my list of things to do! Cheers Babe! Ill be out tonight in it if it stays dry, ill get some snaps at dusk, should be a bit better! Maybe we should start a fan club! Cheers Phil JD Tuning tow eye was looking a little worse for wear! Ill refurb this and sell it on at some point! to make way for this beast! Defo a love or hate item... I love it and its going to match up with my white/red theme really well Its huge in comparison to the JD Tuning item! Sorry bout mucky car, its disgusting weather round here atm, chuffing thunderstorm atm!

Cheers Phil Mert More to come! Cheers Jamie! Stupid gay red bulbs! Dont no, but heres a link to one I bought matey! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180560678596 UPDATE... Well the car passed its MOT with probably the best advisories ive ever seen! The bloke had never seen anything like it either haha! It got: Suspension Heavily Modified Brakes Close to Inside of Wheels Exhaust Excessively Loud Not too shabby hehe! I also taxed the car with a 6month fresh disc! So got home and fitted my Tegiwa Shifter Extension! and I have to say, probably one of the best mods ive done! Brings the gearstick to a much better position, just like a EP3 Type R! Love it and combined with a Nardi Wheel transforms the way the car feels inside! More to come folks!
-
Cheers Rubix mate, means alot! There similar to those wheels, the ultralights have sets of 2 spokes tho, wereas the wedsports are even... However, as i said previously, there the lightest wheels Ive ever felt, I may have to weigh them! JDM auctions for some bits, as some bits you simply just cant get here... Im always on the perv for unique stuff! Cheers dude, hopefully she will pass! Read the following update bud UPDATE! So i was kindly allowed the afternoon off to prep car for MOT (only a few little niggles needed sorting really) and fit some of the goodies that are sat here waiting to go on! First up was my rear bulbs, I dont care what anyone says, painted red bulbs or bulbs using red paint DONT LAST. So they start off Red, then go Pink, and finally end up the colour of a nromal bulb, which is illegal and looks gay lol! Before: Fitting the LED's stunning me tbh... Im worried they may be too bright now, I aint seen them at night yet! Looks loads better tho! The colour they should be! I then set about fitting my JDM Yellow Rainbow front headlights, which are just as amazing! JDM Yellow Rainbow on left, stock H4 bulb on right with white LED Sidelight Im going to buy some yellow sidelight led's i think! There also considerably brighter, as Glanza headlights are shocking! So every little helps! Then wheel'd her out into the sunshine and fitted my rare sunstrip.... Its pretty cool plastic fitting jobbie! I love it! Tis Awesome! I also straightened the Nardi Wheel, Reconfigured the Earthing Kit as Ricky had it off... Now im off to get my Tracking Done and then go for the MOT! So ill update later today! Still got my rear tow eye and shifter extension to fit, and im still waiting on tyres to arrive for my new wheels to go on!

Zisco ct9 decat downpipe with screamer
Socks replied to Starbo Moorley's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Dont think Race-Tech use Mild Steel Flanges??? Maybe a nightpager or zisco item!? -
Its Glanza Casing, with GT Internals and Glanza OEM LSD... The GT Box doesnt look stronger tho! All the GT gears are 20% thinner... So wether there made from a different material. (exactly like the GT/Glanza Conrods) Im unsure! Time will Tell! Ricky said he wasnt happy with it, but it drives so perfect, so we'll see how it goes! Japfest 2 and JAE coming up matey! It'll Pass Its raining now, got to go to MOT this afters, very annoying! Cheers Babe. If the weather isnt stupid, im there! Cheers Phil x Cheers for the vote of confidence mert! lol Mechanical Sympathy at the moment, and nursing her for a few hundred miles to let things bed in! Gonna crack on with fitting the mound of parts I have waiting to go on this afters! Watch this space!
-
Well, Shes Home! Good News is... She drives fucking perfectly. The box has never been this good. Every gear selects perfectly, it drives so smooth, stays in all the gears and no horrid noises! Perfection! Was an awesome drive home! Even though she was being taken steady! MOT and Tax Tormorrow as its due.... Then i can fit all the cool goodies tormorrow

Unless there shite HT Leads, they seal pretty good on the rocker cover to be fair! Glad its sorted matey, for future I usually wrap some electrical tape round the dizzy>distributor joint to stop exactly that! Relief if a great feeling!
