  1. yO Sacha. As JayJ said, please could you post some pics and prices? Thanks
  2. Thanks a lot for this man. I'm gonna be changing mine this weekend hopefully, and didn't know the first place start - Only recently started doing DIY on my cars lol. Hmm, have you checked the voltage you're getting since fitting the new alternator?
  3. Does anyone know of a good courier service that I can use? Basically I want to send a Turbo off to Liam_D for some work, then have it returned to me once the work has been done. Any ideas? Thanks
  4. Hmm got me thinking now. Has anyone got a pic of their td04 kit fitted with a custom condenser?
  5. I'll pm you dude so I don't clog up your thread.
  6. yO Rob. So what dyou rec? Sweatybeaver.com or lightweightbaby.net?
  7. lol. True. I think I'm just too used to using the a/c in my daily driver. I only use the starlet at weekends, so I guess having no a/c isnt too bad. I remember reading a thread not so long ago, and a UK member fitted one but kept his a/c. I guess the members from the hotter countries must still keep it when they fit bigger turbo kits?
  8. I'm waiting for pics from another member who has one for sale at the moment. Have you got a pic of what the plug will look like on one for my GT? Also how do you remove the laternator - Never done one before, but more than willing to have a go. ps - would it be worth just replacing the voltage reg in the alternator, or just get a different alternator? Thanks
  9. Off topic Jay85, but what mm are your vacuum hoses?
  10. I was 100% sure I was going to remove my air con before I fit my TD04 Kit. But after the recent heat wave that hit the UK shores this weekend gone, I'm now having second thoughts. If I decide to keep it, how difficult would the td04 kit be to fit, compared to if I removed the a/c? Let me know what you think. Remove or not to remove?
  11. Ok, I'll get on the case and find one. Do I need to get one specifically for my car? Its a 1994 GT? The heater controls still work, but I've not tried the cig lighter yet. The only other thing that is a little strange is, when I turn my lights on, the boost gauge and clock go mega dim.Lights off they go mega bright. Again, my mate said it maybe down to a bad earth?
  12. I was gonna use this guide RBZ made, but luckily I managed to get a setup with an external wastegate. HTH http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/62968-how-to-make-an-actuator-work-on-a-rotated-td04/
  13. Sorry i mean i have earths attached, but the interior light doesnt work, and the radio only worked when we moved the earth cable and attached it to a different location. So i ll need to replace the alternator then?
  14. Bit of a weird one guys for the electricians in the house. Basically I jump started my car a few months back, and connected the jump leads the wrong way around ...School boy error I know. Anyway, it blew the 80amp fuse and I had no power whatsoever in the car. I bought a new fuse, fitted it and all was fine. The car has been parked up for a few months since then, so I haven't really driven it until today. My oem double din radio wasn't working so I took it round to my mates- who is an electrician - to have a look. He traced the issue to be a bad earth. Then on closer inspectio
  15. In the exact same position too. Never done one before either. Just waiting to get some circlip pliars and some other bits and I'm gonna give it a go: http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/80999-rotating-a-td04-noob/
  16. Keep an eye out on Ebay man. Always TD04 bargains to be had on there. As long as your buying from a reputable seller with 100% positive feedback you should be all good. I did the same last week, and grabbed a bargain....perfect working order with zero shaft play.
  17. Cool Flint. Pm me with a price inc. postage...Have you still got my address from when I got the bov from you?
  18. As above looking for a pair of sun visors for my GT. Must be in good condition. Lemme know what ya got!!
  19. Welcome in man. As said above, we all have to start somewhere, and you can't go wrong with a starlet for one of your first cars. Good luck with it...look forward to seeing some updates
  20. Is that for step 3 in the above link? Ok cool. I'm onnit
  21. Thanks man. I don't have circlip pliers, but can borrow a set if need be.
  22. yO guys, I'm gonna have a stab at rotating my td04 later on this evening. I'm never done one before so a lil worried about damaging the fins. I'll be using this guide: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?11001-Steps-On-How-To-Rotate-A-Tdo4l-Turbo Has anyone got any better pics, or any other tips that may come in handy when doing this? Also are there any specialist tools that may come in useful? Thanks
