  1. lol @ akyakapotter......damn right man....some of these posts have really pissed on my chips lol. I would only be using the evo as a weekend car, and the odd day during the week, but I don't want a car that I'm reluctant to drive because I'm thinking about how much cash its costing me to run. Plan B maybe a better idea.................get another ek9 or vti and turbo that. Just a lil bored with my GT at the moment.
  2. Sorry man. I'm crap when it comes to electrics. I thought once I chop both plugs and resolder them, they can only go back on one way? so earth will go to earth and live will go to live? Dyou have any pics?
  3. Thanks mate....Just wanted to double check
  4. Got a civic rad to fit to my GT. The rad already has a fan and couling etc, so I just wanted to fit it and keep everything in tact. But how would I get the fan to work, as the plug on the civic fan is different to the plug on the starlet fan? Would I just chop both plugs off and swap them around?
  5. Thanks for the heads up lads. Maybe I'll hang fire and stick up a couple of banks first before I break my GT and get one! Can afford to insure an evo, but always heard horror stories about running costs etc.
  6. Just wondering if anyone on here has sold their GT/Glanza and bought an evo instead? Obviously they're more expensive to run, but just wanted some real life comparisons from members who have owned both....or even lucky enough to own both?? What are running costs like compared to a starlet? How easy are they to work on and maintain?
  7. Did your supply your own emb dude? How much was mapping? Pm me if you don't want to disclose price.
  8. Wish a meshed setup...wont't the turbo be sucking in warm air from the bay opposed to cooler air with a front mounted filter? Unsure whether to go meshed or filter with my td04??
  9. What version Teins are these? Any knocks coming from them? How firm/stiff is the ride with them fitted? Thanks
  10. http://monstermotorsport.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=765&osCsid=kifdnuac8h3i9sns86ssm9dn62 This one?
  11. How bads the rust on the GTI? My old one was like a Flinstones car when I first got it...i.e. you could put your foot through the floor pan....one of the best cars I've ever had though! Depending on how bad the rust is, I'd turbo the gti instead....they have a great chassis...and as you said...can push out some nice numbers on the stock block
  12. My Old GT. Need to get soone good snaps up of my current one (nowhere near as clean as my old one though)
  13. All sorted man...got one off an ek9
  14. Funky power do them also. http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=toyota%20-%20lexus&model=STARLET&year=89-95+EP82&level1=TRANSMISSION+%26+DRIVETRAIN&level2=CLUTCH+KITS&level3=&id_product=4063 This one is meant to be the same/similar from what I have read http://japserviceparts.co.uk/nkk-japan-oem-clutch-kit-toyota-starlet-gt-turbo-glanza-ep82-ep91.html
  15. I'm gonna try my luck...already been braced to fuck
  16. hmmm a couple of people have said that already....maybe I'm best off saving my money then. If its not broke don't fix it. Only thing is...mine has been modded slightly and now runs an ex wg Thanks man
  17. Got any pics of it fitted ? Also what fan are you using? Thanks
  18. As above peeps...on the look out for one of these. I'm ballin on a budget, so not too expensive if poss lol. Let me know what you have.

  21. Pretty much agree with what's been said here. For me the scene has drastically changed over the years for the worse. There used to be a sense of community in the older days (2006-2008 ish), I think mainly because these cars were mostly owned by enthusiasts. I used to love driving my old ep82 about, and guys with bigger and more expensive cars used to ask WTF my car was.....it was almost that niche element. Now I feel I'm almost viewed as another boy racer with a quick whip lol. I left the scene in 2008, and recently came back, hoping things would be the same if not better, but I was kind
  22. I did a search, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Can you guys gimme some input on which rad to use for my td04 setup? My toyosports mani will supposedly clear my stock rad....but it will be pretty tight? So I was thinking to get a civic half size rad instead. My car is never going to be on track, so would a normal vti none alloy rad suffice, or would I need a twin core/triple core rad? Failing that, I was considering a swift gti rad, as the bottom rad outlet is on the exact same side as the stock starbo rad (the civic rad outlet is on the opposite side so the rad pipe
