  2. Hey guys, nearly got everything I need now, for my td04 conversion. Gonna have a stab at fitting it all myself too - fingers crossed that works out ok lol. The only thing I'm unsure about is the oil and water lines/feed. I'm not planning to run the water line, but does anyone have any pics or a tutorial of how I block off the water line, and how I fit, and connect the oil lines? From what I can gather, I need a braided oil feed, and a 90 degree silicon bend for a oil return? Never done this before so any pics would be appreciated.
  3. Was that with an fcd and rrfpr, or with a piggyback or standalone Brendon? How much is the aem one?
  4. Any suggestions on which wide band to go for...also how easy are they to fit?
  5. Just a quick one guys. I've got an ewg TD04 kit (minus the turbo which I still need),with an 0.8 bar spring at the moment. The member who I bought the kit off was previously running the setup on his car, with just an uprated fuel pump, it made 187bhp and he said fueled perfectly - He had an AEM wideband to keep an eye on things. I'm planning to run 1 bar eventually with my jam fcd and rrfpr, but would I be ok running 0.8 bar safely with just an uprated fuel pump - I don't have a wideband though.
  6. Thanks for all the info lads. I went to a bike shop this weekend to have a look at a few, and I reccon I'm gonna go for a pit bike to begin with. Mainly because of the size and convience really. As much as I'd love to start off on a 125 moto x, I havent got a van, or small trailer to transport the bike to and from tracks in. Plus, I only want a fun bike which I can get about on at weekends etc. So I'm thinking to start off on a pit, learn the basics, then get a moto x at a later date, if I end up liking the sport.
  7. Would you split and sell turbo seperate? Pm me if you will.
  8. I'll check my fmic pipes when i get in bro - Remember I bought that cooler with the fcked pipes....sure I may need some of this. Will pm you later!
  9. Really? Why are they so cheap over there?....and what year was yours?
  10. What condition was it in when you got it as a wreck, and how much did you end up spending on it to get it that condition again? Feel free to pm me dude. I wouldnt mind getting a wreck/project bike and doing it up. Least that way I'm learning how they're put together and work My love for pit bikes is slowly but surely fading lol.
  11. I don't intend to do any races dude....just want a bike to ride on the fields for fun really....I very much doubt I'll even make it to an mx track lol. So deffo helmet, boots, gloves and body armour? Are the 450s easy to ride once you've had a good few years experience? They look like a right handful to ride lol. You've had shitloads of bikes mate....How much was the RM? Would something like that be a good bike to start on? Also were the pit bikes crf50 or crf70 frames? What pit bikes did you have man? Any pics?
  12. Thanks dude. I ll have a look. Any suggestions for reliable older bikes?
  13. Cool...so using good oil is a must really. Trying to steer clear of the pit bikes now after reading this. What about protective gear? Obviously helmet and boots but what else will i need? @Flynn - you hit the nail on the head...really dont wonna become a hooligan on the roads...but after watchin some vids of sms on youtube...like you said its looks like its quite easy to get carried away lol. Was your on road crash caused by another driver? Loving the bikes above...especially the cfr450...mega droool...how long were you riding for before until you moved onto that bike garrygt?
  14. How much are the piston kits to buy? Thats another thing, with the 40-1 mix...how do I make sure I'm mixing the right amount of fuel and oil? What bike have you got at the moment ? lol I've just been offered an evo pit bike today for peanuts....so not a good idea even as an intro back before I get a bigger sized 125?
  15. Thanks Ben. If thee engine was to go bang are they simple enough to work on? I'm got a small selection of tools, and I'm a quick learner. Also, what security would you recommend, i.e. padlocks etc?
  16. Crf450 looks like a beeeeast!!! Cool, so start off with a 125...how much should I be looking to spend on my first bike? Any advice on buying a used bike...like what to look out for?
  17. Thanks for the info guys. So i'd be better to start off witha 125 2 stroke if possible? How easy are they to work on? What sort of security Did you guys have on your bikes? Lastly with a cbt i d be able to ride up to a 125 on the road?
  18. lol...hope he sees this thread, and gives me some input. Yeah, was thinking for the price I'm gonna pay for a good 140 crf70 size framed pit bike....I could get a bigger bike. What 50 supermoto did you have? I can ride a 50 with a cbt right? See your point....best of both worlds then. The only other thing I'm thinking with an offroad bike...theres nowhere to ride it locally. Closest place is like an hour a way....kinda kills it because theres loads of fields etc close by...but the cops usually chase the local moto x dudes on the drzs lol....don't fancy getting arrested.
  19. Been toying with the idea of getting a supermoto for a while. But each time I get close to actually getting one, someone always puts me off with a horror story, of someone who came off one, and got severely injured...or worse case died. Anyway, was in a bike shop last week, and one of the guys who worked in there suggested getting an off road bike...said they can be just as dangerous, but he personally prefers to ride off road,as they're no crazy drivers about. So got looking into 125 crossers....thought they would be a good bike to start with? Then I stumbled across pit bikes. I thoug
  20. Had a play on one the other day, and was quite impressed....but felt a lil too big for me - Probs because I'm a samsung dude, and they're plastic opposed to the xperia which is metal/glass. The z2 spec does look promising though. Heres a pretty good review of the z1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUgOgMCKXqs
  21. Thanks Tim. Just to double check. I need to hold the top nut in place with the above spanner, then try and unscrew the bottom bigger nut?
  22. Love this man.....and those seats . Whats the full spec....dyou have a build up thread?
  23. Thanks lads. Had a nightmare today trying to get it off with my normal spanners. How much are the above spanners? Like you said RBZ, the pipe bent slightly while trying to release it, so called it a day.
