  1. i have never tried a set of glanza ones before, but after having a set side by side, the fittings are the same, so they should fit.
  2. phil, i think you should paint the dizzy cap too! seen it done before, looks good!
  3. i kept quiet about advancing the timing because it made such a difference on my old n/a, i wanted to keep it to myself! i finally let the cat out the bag to fishy and adjusted his to which he was well happy, altho his was pinking a little so it needed backing off a tad. it is important to have a good ear for pinking when doing this tho, you only need a few degrees to make a good difference. the other important thing is to run good quality fuel i found my old n/a ate thru spark plugs quite quickly too however. its worth it if you can get it right however. ( i never told geo i had advanced my timing a little on the day of the banzai thrash which made a bit of difference to the times! he he he!)
  4. sorry philly... you knows i didnt mean it! ;) cheers buddy, i hope so. i hope so! i love white wheels on a white car, but it gets done loads... and if you hadnt already guessed, i like to be a bit different. dunno we'll see! me too liam... i finally feel reasonably happy with the cars performance!
  5. shweeeeeeeeet ;)
  6. agreed! my mate has one of these and wants the supercharger! cars looking great eric, glad you got a red one! its the best colour by far!
  7. nah, i think the blacktops are disributorless ignition which means there is no dizzy cap and rotor arm, the leads go into a coil pack and (i think) the ecu controls the sparking. altho looking at your engine bay pic, it looks like it does have a dizzy so you could try cleaning the contacts on the rotor and dizzy, or (as i did) just buy some new ones.
  8. all you do is slacken off the two bolts that hold the distributor (not the distributor cap) to the head while the car is idling and rotate the whole thing a few degrees either way. one way should increase the revs slightly the other way should decrease the revs. you want to increase the revs, this advances the timing, dont go mad tho, 1-2 degrees of advance is enough other wise the engine will start pinking. hence why you need good fuel.
  9. it'd be a start matey. is yours distributorless ignition?
  10. nope turbo system is different, backbox piping is the same routing but obviously larger.
  11. sounds great! i take it the engine's forged too? what sort of bhp/ft lb is it pushing out?
  12. also run it on some good fuel (take the battery off for 30 mins to let the ecu reset and compensate for the better fuel) also if you feel confident you could advance the timing ever-so-slightly to help you further up the rev range, i did this to great effect with my old n/a (just ask the new owner oli) worked well on fishy's sr too.
  13. oh yes sparky... i think theyre gonna look pretty good on my wagon... plus, theyre 14's! take that phil! some better pics when i got them home. always wanted some lightweight enkei's! me and stu had been chatting about me buying these off him as i didnt really like the oz's on the car! so we came to a decision that he liked the oz's and i liked the enkei's so.... straight swap! no refurbing for me this time anyway! might do a refurb on them in a different colour after winter as i think these will be my winter rims for now! the decat has bedded in nicely, after a altercation with the lamda that was fitted in the decat (causing only 160 miles out of a full tank of fuel!) so i swapped it for the one in my old gutted cat (what an arse of a job that was!) im getting good fuel economy and it goes like a fucking train! i have a straight road that i have a blat down each night where i see what i can get up to by the bottom, i gained 10-12mph over the gutted cat which im well pleased with! exhaust has a much nicer note at high rpm now too! all in all its been a good week! more pics to come when i get the enkei's fitted some point next week!
  14. you'll have to take me for a spin sometime mate! maybe we'll meet again when you decide to sell this beast!
  15. yeah totally! i fancied some 14" steelies for the old n/a. soon will be some pics of the new enkie's i've accuired off stu (stup86)!

  18. *chants* "I KNOW WHAT IT IS!"
  19. i tell ya what, when i had my old n/a i had it lowered on black steelies for about 6 months, i can honestly say that it was the most fun i've had driving a car so far! smaller wheels = better
  20. dude, you need to drive a car with 14's on it! they may look small but theyre the best or handling!
