not what you think! I left my car unlocked last nite (not like me) and i was putting my new bumpers and fenders in the car to take it to the painters today and i found a half full bottle of dissarono and a bottle of absolute vodka then under them there was a black bag. opened it up and found a brand new macbook! all lying behind my passenger seat. i cant get my head round it. Theres nothing on the macbook at all so i cant even find out who it belongs too who the fuck breaks into a car, doesnt take anything and leaves stuff there? WTF?

yeah if its been writen off dvla take the logbook. you will get a new 1 when you have the vic check done. you can also drive to and from dvla without tax if you have proof the test is booked just insure and mot the car then go get it done. just be carefull with the insurance company as i insured my GT then took it for the mot and later that night the insurance company called back to say they couldnt insure it as it was a CAT C. I never bothered to tell them as i didnt think it would make a difference.

i looked into it for my white qaudlight, you need to mot it before you take it there and have insurance but you cant tax it until the vic check is done
