Unbolt the top two bolts for the hub carrier, undo the 2 bolts and nut on the bottom arm, move out of the way, your choice whether or not to unbolt the caliper, disc etc, but does help, leaving you with the c.v. joint and the driveshaft at your disposal, saves removing the shaft etc:) Damien

What you've just described Rob is a total waste of time, there's no need at all to remove the whole shaft, it's pointless and a waste of time, plus you'll lose gearbox oil, get someone to hold the shaft, a quick blow is all it takes, if you can't do that then let a garage do the work. Damien

Just get a copper hammer, quick sharp blows to the back of the joint, as for fitting, fit the hub nut, and still use the copper hammer. Gentley tap it on. Damien

Try tweaking your idle. Even if its a few degrees, it will make a whole load of a difference. Damien

One thing these guys forgot, check the centre bore of the wheel, if it's smaller than 54mm, they won't fit unless you bore the hole out, aftermarket wheels tend to have a removable spigot ring, but standard wheels don't, so check beforehand!! The Starlet hub diameter is 54mm, I got the 56mm from my corsa as I attempted to fit the speedlines to the corsa, but to no avail will not fit without modification, you can get the spigot ring kits from halfords, they can become very unstable with just 4 bolts holding it to centre. So if the centre bore is bigger than the Starlet size be sure to buy the correct spigot rings or else the wheel may just fall off. Damien Jaystar77 Agrees Idrees Agrees Bourkey Agrees

They messed alot of people about, not only that, they're playing with money that is not their's, regardless of how snowed under they are, they shouldn't have let things get as bad as this. I'll even give you a hand repairing it seeing as you don't live too far away, looking at getting some parts tomorrow anyway, don't fancy breaking the car, but there's alot of stuff, the tyres were £200 only a few weeks ago!, new rear wheel bearings about a fortnight ago, if you want more pics of the damage, let me know and i'll go remove the damaged panels.
