  1. Hahaha I guess you want me to keep it then ;) Thanks for the comments mate but i don't think its the most anticipated car on here Your keen i will give you that It will be good when its done and im sure im going to love it to bits. Its just a long old road and the fact it has slowed down is getting to me a bit. I did mention to James that i was thinking of selling it and he was shocked. He said he might have to take me outside and smack me up a bit until i change my mind. It might make him do more work on the thing though However, i really hate the thought of spending all this money and t
  2. Thanks Mate, i really need to get back on with it. There has not been anything done to it now for 2 months + and its starting to get to me now. I have even been thinking about selling it, its got that bad Although luckily i have gone off that idea now. Once work starts up again i will be working on it flat out again and im sure i will be more excited but the slow period has really got me down and have started loosing interest. I think its the fact that its not next to my desk and i only see the thing every 2-3 weeks thats getting to me. Once the engine is finally in and its been sprayed the
  3. LOL i wasn't refering to the sand getting lodged into the alloy The Starlet 4EFTE rocker cover is made in several parts. On the underside there is an adittional metal piece that is riveted to the main body. Meaning there is lots of hidden area's for sand to 'hide' that you can't access to clean out. Even with it cleaned out afterwards then sand could still be in there then contaminate the oil and do damage to the engine down the line. Im not saying it will happen but personally for me its too much of a gamble to take. Most rocker cover's are made from one piece so sandblasting is not an i
  4. I would be interested in getting mine done. Only problem i have is that your sandblasting them I was always told never to sandblast rocker covers. If any bits of sand are left inside and it gets into your engine oil then kiss your engine good bye!
  5. *** Update *** Well as i haven't updated this in absolute ages i thought it only fair to add a few words. Work has been very slow on this, in fact its gone backwards its been that slow and parts have actually come off the buggy. My Apexi Turbo timmer turned up recently and after 3 weeks wait i finally got my set up Powerflex Poly Engine mounts. Also another set of michelin racing slicks arived last week and will soon be ordering the rear wheels. Should look so good with the deep dish wheels all round. I have also bought a pair of Gaz adjustable coilovers for the front and these wil
  6. Car looks mint Iddy Love the kit and looks so sexual in white! ...............you didn't blur the number plate in all the pics by the way
  7. I believe the MK1 MR2 gearbox will fit a starlet engine or so i have been told. However i doubt very much that it will be the MR2 box as there a few differences between that and the starlet one. The BIG difference is that the MR2 box is designed for a rear engined car so the gear linkage system is on the other side of the box. Meaning that the gear linkage would be all custom made. Im currently looking at changing my gearbox to the MR2 version as im building a rear engined kitcar with the 4EFTE engine. As for the Celica box im not too sure? Jason
  8. Guys, i have been told not to worry about this! The guy that wrote it is talking bollox! I posted this on the buggy forum im a member of and they confirmed that this has been talked about a LOT. Basically the guy looked on the net for 5 minutes and didn't research the topic. He then wrote the article and ahs made alot of people upset! Apparently he is getting confussed with the introduction of the IVA for kitcar builds, a manual that i have begun reading and is HUGE Anyway, for my build i have to prove where my engine has come from with a V5c from the donor car, plus photo's of the car, pl
  9. I hope this isn't correct as i have started looking at a new project for the future and wanted to build a Hayabusa engined Austin Healey
  10. It works! and this looks just like me Jason
  11. A nice set of Stainless Steel Rising Sun Dials would look good on that Only joking! Welcome to the club, car looks nice and thats a good bhp figure
  12. Holy shit! That colour is sexual Looks SSSWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Second that, something doesn't feel right with the cars. Not too sure what it is but something aint right. Also the graphics are very good but they have a very 'cartoony' look about them. Maybe its just the colours on my TV??
  14. Agreed! If anyone does want to help with photography then i will let them have a passenger ride or two
  15. Cool, no rush mate i still have to build it. Im happy to pay a little extra if we got a Photographer to attend. I am planning on fitting a camera system into the Demon but i don't think it will be up and running by then
  16. Spose that makes sense, im only bringing half a car Any word from the circuit about the kitcar? Jason

  18. We had a very similar problem with my girlfriends yaris (before she wrote it off ). Was still under warranty and they said she needed new water pump seals and this was not part of the warranty. Tried getting her to pay for it. I went down there and kicked off a good un'. Said that if it was still in waranty then they should pay for it. And what is a 3 year old car doing with the seals failing. Don't think they liked me going ape sh!t in front of potential customers so they quickly agreed Sarah is the sort of person that would have just paid for it though, she only mentioned it to me as a
  19. Be careful with that cheap stuff mate! You get what you pay for and that cheap stuff is just extraction hose that is available from B&Q. I would think that stuff will melt if you get it near a heat soucre. Just my 2 pence worth. Jason

    Nissan Gtr

LOL seems a bit pricey Although one of my mates has a GTST that has a GTR engine in it, the spend so far is up to £25k and rissing He had it dyno's a while back and it made 666 bhp at the wheels! EVIL!!!!!!!
  21. LOL you clearly don't know me very well, it WILL be jap or i wont turn up! It will more than likely be the buggy to be honest, it should be running by that point but won't be road legal. Will it be ok to bring a non road legal car. I know most tracks are fine with track cars but the buggy is a bit different. Its not like it has been tested to be road legal then declared sorn. Its been built from scratch and won't be fully tested by the track day! Do you have a contact for the track or know someone who would know Hou? Jason
  22. Dam they look good Great idea also! Jason
  23. Defo need camping/accomodation! And im still in, although i don't know if i will be in the buggy Jason
  24. Enzo i also got this email from TGTT, i thought maybe it was just sent out to a few people but obviously it went out to a few more Anyway, i joined both clubs when i started looking for a GT for my beast build and instantly liked the layout of UKSC better. I don't really like the layout on TGTT and find it anoying to navigate through. Everyone seems very friendly here and you all seem to not mind me being here, even though i don't own a starlet and all i ever seem to post about is my buggy build. I don't like the fact that you have to pay on TGTT for basically what you get here for free. I
  25. Guess i should add mine, i bought it like this though!!!!! Not to worry though, her spirit will live on! She just needs a bit of life saving surgery first
