Update The weather was stupidly nice here in NI this weekend, like, for october, just daft! so, naturally, being a car geek, that could mean only one thing!!! The Cleaningz of Destiny! So, yesterday she got a scrub and I made a start on my sticker-bombing of the underside of the bonnet. Now, some of them stuck fine, but some of them didnt want to know, so it didnt go totally to plan. some parts appear to have some serious over spray on them, making things difficult, so i think some better prep work will be in order when i get more stickers! First tho, i finally found a home for my cool Ape

chesh, behave urself, now. u try to leave UKSC and i will have every member within a 100 mile radius line up outside your gaff to take turns bitch slapping you whilst screaming "THIS IS FROM PHIL!" imagine that...100 slaps, 100 "THIS IS FROM PHIL" being screamed at u. dont make me do it, dont make me... Phil.

chuff yeah! Phil.

if apexi did one, i'd buy it. hell, u can buy gauges that are digital clocks in rally parts catalogues, oh if only apexi had done that! Phil.

Lewis mate - yes they self check, a wee pantomine twice when u start up! its uber! Liam - thats the spirit man! anup - I've been meaning to do that, gotta get them all up and runnin tho! Phil.

lol its ok man. clearly, if a matter of a few mm is of such great significance to the stability and safety of a car in a bend then imagine the extrapolation of this way of thinking to your tires....holy shart batman! they'd be changed once a month! Phil.

can't get my head around it?? i never once debated the theory behind aligning the wheels!! FFS i have stated that i have a bloody PH rod!! if i couldnt get my head round the theory then why have i had an adjustable PH rod fitted and my car recently lazer aligned!?!?! what i cant get my head around is your train of thought on any of this! i asked u to justify the theory behind a car being unsafe in a corner all over a few mm of misalignment in the wheels/axles! and u are still choosing to ignore me. clearly my posts are invisible, so i'll just sit here and talk to myself. u say in the post ab

but you have time to tell people you "expect better" of Geo???? and more time to tell me you have no time to explain your comment? i dont usually call people out on the forum, but to me you're backin out of this discussion because u have been challenged for a more indepth input into the matter. shoulda used the time you do have more constructively to provide well rounded discussion, rather than stating your opinion regarding cornering without an adjustable PH rod and your opinion regarding expecting "better" of the site owner. not exactly constructive to the discussion or helpful towards tho

so its not too far fetched a concept to expect someone to be able to back up what they say with some reasoned evidence or justification then. good show. i know had i read a comment like that when i first lowered my car i'd have probably panicked and assumed the worst. i dont think an explanation is too much to ask for tbh. could save folk alot of confusion and worry. Phil.

i cant help but notice u have chosen to ignore my question as to why exactly a slightly misaligned rear axle would make you feel unsafe in a corner. is my question going to remain unanswered or should i check back in 5 for your reason. you put it forward in your post, u must therefore have some form of explanation for it. im not being a ballbag, but we will have folk new to modding and the scene reading handling threads like this, and i'd prefer to see such claims backed up with some form of reasoned and considered explanation rather than just thrown out there with no sound justification. that doesnt stop u sourcing them fool!! gather all your info together so that when the time comes u are ready!!!! Phil.

MOT failure?? i can assure u never once have i seen alignment being tested here in NI! i ran without an adjustable panhard rod and 40mm lowering springs for years and never once did MOT bat an eyelid. thats total crap. maybe NCT test alignment, but thats news to me. and why would it fail?? the alignment being out a few mm is hardly a safety issue, we're talking mm here not feet! yes, the car will crab, but again, we're talkin in mm here!!!! i suggest u re-open your case if u have rested it. from a perfectionists point of view, yes u will want your alignment bang on. but "not feeling safe" o

i know, epic thread FTW! yes mate mark has a SARD boost gauge in those colours, i will try to get a nite pic of it for u soon, its delicious! they are available new and there is a range of them, including a vacuum one...pointless if u have a boost one but would look cool bouncing about alternatively with the boost needle...but they are rather expensive to say the least. mark has a link for them if u wana PM him for it. Phil.
-
wrong. u do laquer it, but u use matte laquer. drop a PM to Alan-e with the ASBO GT, his is matte black, standard OEM black underneath matte laquer. im sure he will point u in the right direction. Phil.

Cheers Luke buddy, i had been after a momo one this size for ages and then Joz put his on the market, couldnt resist, its class and its mint too!!! he looks after his gear does Joz!!!! its a silly amount of gauges, but there's a few i still wish to add in due course, air intake temp, air/fuel ratio maybe, not needed but digital blue display is toooooo tempting. also, i should have a small-ish project for u soon, i shall be in touch my good fellow. Liam - I wanted defis originally, then i saw these lit up in pictures at nite, and couldnt help myself. the EL with the red glow round the base of

the yahoo auctions are your friends! lol!!! well, they aint entirely useless mate, the only one that would be would be boost obviously. but there would be nothing stopping u fitting the oil temp, water temp, oil pressure and EGT gauges, those have nout to do with a turbo. i can see how some people would say "its an n/a, so why bother", but if your like me and u worry about the little things, they would let u keep an eye on everything thats going on, which is why i had volts and oil pressure fitted yrs ago, u rip a hole in the sump on a rock or speedbump and your oil pressure gauge will tell

thanks man! Phil.
