so its not too far fetched a concept to expect someone to be able to back up what they say with some reasoned evidence or justification then. good show. i know had i read a comment like that when i first lowered my car i'd have probably panicked and assumed the worst. i dont think an explanation is too much to ask for tbh. could save folk alot of confusion and worry. Phil.

i cant help but notice u have chosen to ignore my question as to why exactly a slightly misaligned rear axle would make you feel unsafe in a corner. is my question going to remain unanswered or should i check back in 5 for your reason. you put it forward in your post, u must therefore have some form of explanation for it. im not being a ballbag, but we will have folk new to modding and the scene reading handling threads like this, and i'd prefer to see such claims backed up with some form of reasoned and considered explanation rather than just thrown out there with no sound justification. Phil.

MOT failure?? i can assure u never once have i seen alignment being tested here in NI! i ran without an adjustable panhard rod and 40mm lowering springs for years and never once did MOT bat an eyelid. thats total crap. maybe NCT test alignment, but thats news to me. and why would it fail?? the alignment being out a few mm is hardly a safety issue, we're talking mm here not feet! yes, the car will crab, but again, we're talkin in mm here!!!! i suggest u re-open your case if u have rested it. from a perfectionists point of view, yes u will want your alignment bang on. but "not feeling safe" over a case of a few mm?? wot exactly do u expect those few mm to do to the car mid corner??? if u reply to this post i only request that u answer me that one question - what EXACTLY do you expect those few mm to do?? if she's gonna do anything it'll be down to being pushed further than the cars ability, but those few mm wont be determining that! drive within the limits of urself and the vehicle and why would u feel unsafe?? its not like the car will be higher at the rear resulting in lesser rear end grip and the potential for her to break away. the car will drive perfectly fine without an adjustable panhard rod. mine did for years. yes, she will be crabbing by a few mm obviously. but that doesnt mean that an aftermarket PH rod is 100% needed - its not. again, from a perfectionists point of view and to have everything just right, yes u will want one, I have one. but "needed"...u make it sound like its feckin tires! Phil.

i know, epic thread FTW! yes mate mark has a SARD boost gauge in those colours, i will try to get a nite pic of it for u soon, its delicious! they are available new and there is a range of them, including a vacuum one...pointless if u have a boost one but would look cool bouncing about alternatively with the boost needle...but they are rather expensive to say the least. mark has a link for them if u wana PM him for it. Phil.

wrong. u do laquer it, but u use matte laquer. drop a PM to Alan-e with the ASBO GT, his is matte black, standard OEM black underneath matte laquer. im sure he will point u in the right direction. Phil.

Cheers Luke buddy, i had been after a momo one this size for ages and then Joz put his on the market, couldnt resist, its class and its mint too!!! he looks after his gear does Joz!!!! its a silly amount of gauges, but there's a few i still wish to add in due course, air intake temp, air/fuel ratio maybe, not needed but digital blue display is toooooo tempting. also, i should have a small-ish project for u soon, i shall be in touch my good fellow. Liam - I wanted defis originally, then i saw these lit up in pictures at nite, and couldnt help myself. the EL with the red glow round the base of the needle is too cool! and they self check like the defis do, plus they have all the added functions of warning, peak and memo should u choose to use them.......and they have worked out only pennies cheaper than defis would have been lol!!! i blame riko, i think he's cutting huuuuuuuuuuuuge profit on them....lul!!!!! Phil.

the yahoo auctions are your friends! lol!!! well, they aint entirely useless mate, the only one that would be would be boost obviously. but there would be nothing stopping u fitting the oil temp, water temp, oil pressure and EGT gauges, those have nout to do with a turbo. i can see how some people would say "its an n/a, so why bother", but if your like me and u worry about the little things, they would let u keep an eye on everything thats going on, which is why i had volts and oil pressure fitted yrs ago, u rip a hole in the sump on a rock or speedbump and your oil pressure gauge will tell u straight away and could let u save the engine. they would also be already in place for the day u fit an FTE. think of it as forward plannin! Phil.

Update Apexi EL1 Temp gauges now mounted on the dash and wires run through. what a prick of a job, mostly because of how i have mounted them lol, but the damn heating ducts were a royal pain! my hands are too big for in there lol!!! anyways, yes, all gauges now mounted across the dash, i have staggered them back from one another, i have a pic of an RX7's Apexis done like that, and mark reckoned it would look the tits too, so thats how I've mounted them. big old nasty rudimentary industrial holes in the dash and all, not pretty, but i dont care, i like the ragged look of them and the wires pokin up through! obv they aint wired in yet tho, i need a WeeJohn for that! lol!!! i shall get pics tomorrow as it took me all nite to get the damn wires run! i even dragged my folks out to inspect them!! lol! i honestly didnt know if i'd ever have my dash looking like this, i dreamt about it and thought "yeah, that'd be sweet, but a prick to source the gauges and too expensive", just goes to show u, if u set your mind (and wallet and riko) to it, u can get what you really want. all that remains is the final matching gauge in due course. she's not far off completion now tbh, not much else i ever wanted. never thought i'd say those words lol!! also, Father Badger had his first passenger ride strapped into the harness with the K1 tonight...i think he was rather impressed lol!!!! Phil.

excuse me, but Team Clean consists of me and SiCaln. I have recently welcomed Rob Bower to Team Clean for his anal-retentive polishing. I am sure there is Team Clean repressed in Jay, he just wont let it come to the surface. you are however, a very, very promising prospect for the 4th member of Team Clean. It about the subtle mods, the tidy little teeny weeny details, like sourcing obscure little OEM bits and bobs just to say u have them. tasteful choice in body mods is also welcomed, hence SiCaln's Cruise parts. you show a great deal of promise young Steven, I shall review your prospect upon the car returning to the road! Phil.
