always wanted a livesports spoiler on mine, never ever seen one in true blurple 8L5. would look epic!! Phil.

this. this is where the OEM system is, however, what the windscreen guy was getting at is the fact that, as it has no cold air feed, it will be sucking in warm air front the engine bay as there is no heat shield around the cone. however, as Mike has already pointed out, positioning it where you have (which is the same as I have done with mine) provides a more stable boost as its less likely to swallow a giant gulp of freezing cold air as it would if it was stuck out at the bumper. some folk have their preferences, me I prefer safe, reliable, consistent boost, not the fear of a spik

cheers dude. I'll have to see about getting some fresh pics as I go too. also going to try and replace alot of the nuts and bolts in the bay, some of them are fairly rusted now. needs a new battery clamp, including the upright lengths of metal with the threads at the top, as mine are fooked. Phil.

i wouldnt even send mine to you dude, i've had to have a go at making them fit with the ignition barrel, so they're quite butchered, and I wouldnt inflict that on anyone. plus being a UK spec mine probably wouldnt fit your steering column. thanks for the offer though sir, much appreciated. Phil.

blue...not blurple. blurple is 8L5. :P such a great base though, full lip kit, duck tail, wind deflectors, think i spot an illuminated ignition barrel. bit of TLC and that would rock! Phil. -
Not sure to what extent you're stripping the car dude, but the plastic cowlings that surround the ignition barrel and steering column, would you sell those separate to the illuminated barrel? i already have an illuminated barrel but my cowling fitment is rubbish as i still have the UK spec plastics, so if you'd be prepared to sell your cowlings to me, that'd be mega! let me know if you'd consider that please dude. Cheers, Phil.

I do love these wheels, there's a black V over here running a black set of these and it looks utterly evil. i take it you're totally moving away from the time attack idea then dude yeah? going a whole new route? Phil.

cheers gents. was good to feel all those Blitz parts working in harmony, first time its ran with the filter on too. think its due a Blitz decal somewhere now lol. Yesterday served as a bit of a shakedown for her, especially on the more spirited points on the journey down the road. I had horrible notions that the suspension would have died sitting so long, or that the chassis or fuel tank would be away. But Joel and I got a good look underneath on the Friday night whilst it was up on the ramp, and other than the usual amount of surface rust, there was nothing overly worrying. we also discus

Update Geographical Relocation - Successful! Joel removed the sump and resealed it on Friday nite, let it sit all weekend, and this afternoon filled the oil and ticked it over for 20 minutes...NO LEAK! so, went up for the run down home. she behaved really well, brakes came back to life in no time, they'll never stop you on a pin head, but EP brakes never will. pulled in after ~20 miles for a check, spotted one small drop of oil, emanating from the oil filter. Joel gave it a hand tighten, and off we set again, this time with some boost, took her nice and handy for another few miles,

looks uber tidy bro! Phil. -
cheers for the info dude, greatly appreciated. i'm with you on that, leaks drive me mad. my brother has a GT that has never leaked a single drop ever, yet for some reason this last bloody engine i've picked up is a leaky prick, between the cracked oil pump and now this debacle. not impressed with what should have been a simple swap and fix job. thanks dude! Phil.
-
cheers dude. think it was a combo of its first run last year, and then being left to sit, has caused it. she's getting resealed using some industrial stuff from ECC on Friday nite, then being left til sunday afternoon to be re-tested. should be a long enough cure period. Phil.
