it was, they offered to replace the block but he didnt want all his paperwork fubared with mis-matched numbers etc when it came to sell it on, so he got a replacement car I believe. Phil.

footwell lights - where do you fix them?? lol!
Nanglebadger replied to mattyD's topic in Interior & ICE
yes but only in a GT and its now been sold (Whitestarlet from NI). I think i have some pics in the archives, i'll get a look over the next couple of days. Phil. -
chap in work, his neighbor bought one brand new...engine packed in after only a couple of months. Toyota offered to replace the engine, he told them to shit off and replace the whole car, which they did. im sure its probably just a one-off horror story and that most if not all manufacturers experience the odd bug, but still a little frightening for such a new and expensive car. Phil.

from factory they go on the inner/upper side of the lower dash plastics, not sure if the factory plastics to fit has little recesses or tabs to hold them in place or what, i know the OEM cowling for the illuminated ignition barrell is different to normal, its possible the footwell illumination was the same. anyway, what i'm getting at is....lets take the passenger side...sit in the seat, your faced with the glovebox, beneath that there's a small lip of plastic i think off the top of my head, up on the inner side of that i think is where it went from factory. similarly on the driver's side, -

thanks gents, appreciate the kind words! @daniel - thanks for taking the time to read the whole thing dude, means alot. and you hit the nail on the head there, without my bro and my mates most of this wouldnt have been possible! Jay, Alan and Joel have dug me out of many a hole over the years, and helped to improve and add unique bits and bobs to the car. 8L5 - nicest colour evar! Phil.

thanks gents. @ Ryan - no music anymore bud no, stripped it all out, even the OEM speakers in the dash. the only music i want to hear in the car from now on is the turbo spooling and the dump valve going off. i'm in the search for response, and the easiest first step in that is improving power to weight. yes I have retained all the front plastics inside the car, but thats simply because i want the cockpit to be a semi-nice place to be, other than that, nothing in the rear but functional items. the aim of this project now is the improvement of response, not massive BHP figures, i wana g
