what do you think the clamp does? above boost cut? it tricks the ecu into believe there is 0.8 of a bar, when in essence there is 1 or 1.1 bar, thus leaning the combustion process if your gunna fit a FCD, or BCC, then you need to compensate for fueling. just fitting a greddy BCC, will do alot of damage aswell, if you dont compensate for fueling, as it leans the mixture out, above fuel cut, when potentially there is more of a need than at lower revs so in essence, whichever FCD or BCC, you decide to choose, you need to compensate on the fueling side of things, otherwise why would you fit it
-
disagree there, for a few reasons, i produced a greddy duplicate fcd, working on the same principles as a clamp, it cost me £3, and all the parts were bought from maplin HKS works in a different manner, with a HKS FCD, an SAFC, and a regulator, its very easy to set up the fueling, just by cutting it back with the SAFC lower in the rev range the RRFPR, works over the whole range as the boost increases, so having this fitted with the jam or greddy unit, will be overfueling quite alot at lower revs, to adjust and be nearly right above boost cut, and running very rich, is just as bad as

that glanza at the top looks daft, because the reggie plate has been mirrored, excuse it being off topic, jsut first thing that came to my head when the page loaded and went all dark lol

i dont know mate, if you put the work in yourself, i reckon you could have it for 10k, maybe under, im not too clued up on what needs to be done. now to build a starlet to 300bhp plus, for 10k or under, and then be able to say, well its reliable, is a good thing.
-
there is a guy near me who has it done, plenty of pics of it aswell, he paid a place in london to do it, believe it cost shy of 15k, and that was a toyota tuning company doing the work, so the 30k quotes,..... rediculous. oh, and it was about 2 years ago i believe, so one of the first to do it,

that boost gauge is silly lol not sure if the carbon goes with that paint, would look awesome on a white or red car, but with that colour, im not sure, might grow on me though lol

just tell us what you paid, people wont laugh, the price has dropped so much on these now, when i bought mine in august it was a bargain, now, its about what i paid for it give or take, and ive spent a grand on parts, most people on here will have paid, what is seen to be, over the odds prices, compared to todays market for these cars
-
yeh, but you said you wernt selling it, its on Ph what sort of ££ are you wanting for it? obv just tryin to get a bit more than you paid?? how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking, pm me if you prefer cheers
-
haha, good find personally i think its worth 1600, my car has more things than that, newer, less miles, longer mot and tax, an i woould ask 2k for mine

your not the only person who gets bored on it

Matey Boi Fully Confused Me On Rrfpr!
scot-ish replied to adz_sportif_turbo's topic in Ignition & Fueling
dont know what it is confusing you mate, but i'l try to simplify it if you aint got it the RRFPR. its an adjustable pressure regulator, so you set it to the pressure you want, but because its connected via a vacuum hose, to the inlet, when the boost pressure increases, then the pressure from the regulator increases, to give a higher pressure to the injectors, as the boost increases. if your using the RRFPR set up, with FCD, i would advise a SAFC or the sorts, as has been said, you increase the pressure from the RRFPR, and use the SAFC to reduce the injector fueling in the midrange, this will -
ive got the proffesional set aswell, not broke anything on them yet, apart from the little bit that goes on the ratchet, to use the screw driver tool parts, and only broke because i was hammering it, took it back, never even got asked about it, just replaced it and back out the door. so thumbs up from me snap on is overpriced, and the snap on guy is usually a jumped up cunt. there are better high quality tool than snap on, that are cheaper

run it in high boost, will be around 155 ish i would have though
