It was hot, I know to expect it but usually if you release caps off gradually they relieve themselves though. At the moment the cars running faultless I'm still warey of the hoses but I'm going to try the thermostat first, as that may have failed in a funny position, car doesn't show above 1/4 temp. If it is the headgasket it's not the end of the world but I'm just great full that at the moment I have a perfectly running car lol! Couldn't have survived the last 2-3 weeks without it!!

This piece of shit copped it today! You can see the next victims that I'll be removing from my loom (the untidy disused plugs hanging down), I just -

TurboTobz replied to Jacob993's topic in Welcome New Owners!
Post the spec up and we should be able to tell you a bit of info. Gearbox, synchros go so may crunch going into gears. Box's are cheap so not a biggie! Clutch a lot of people upgrade there set ups and forget the clutch until its slipping, check there's no slipping. Overheating, smell the rad make sure it doesn't smell like fuel make sure rad hoses don't pressurise up hard (signs of headgasket being gone). Any white residue on the oil cap (shows moisture in oil I.e. coolant from blown headgasket) or oil in water. Check mileage, does the speedo work? If not it's not been counting miles sinc -
