  1. Yeah, that's pearl paint for you. Always looks different depending on the lights. Looks like a glowing gold in the direct sun! I'm pretty sure the bottom bulbs are missing, I quite like it like this though Cheers Cheers mate, appreciate that. I've been working since 15, I don't drink, smoke or go out clubbing. I now run my own business, and work for my dad when I can. I'm stingy when it comes to buying myself clothes and shoes etc, combine all that together and it leaves me decent money to spend on what I want to. Wicked idea, I'd love to do something like that! It's a bit of a treck for wheel alignment though, could you be me a quote though please? That would be awesome, and new to the scene. Never seen a video like that of one Starlet, yet alone two! ;)
  2. Looks like a very nice example. As mentioned above remember to constantly check the oil on it. And the oil they take is expensive too!
  3. Mine is a 5E-FHE so could well be due to this. All sorted now though!
  4. That is nuts, sounds amazing.
  5. Great all round cars, shit on fuel for what they are though.
  6. Sorry to bore you guys but here's some more pics I took the other night with my other car.
  7. Have you tried to email Darren via the website?
  8. Glad you sourced a new one easy enough!
  9. Hopefully Luke, all depends on my Uni exam timetable. Liam I usually use 'All car tyres' in Huddersfield, but I'm not going there again. The workers are alright but the boss seems to be a cock, not friendly at all so why should I give him my hard earned? I may pay a visit to TDI North in Warrington this time.
  10. Good luck with it bud. I know that feeling, I used my mums 7 seater VW for about 12 months while the Glanza was being built!
  11. We fitted a Gizzmo in my brothers GT (TD04 set-up) and neither of us liked it. It always had some small issue with creep and wasn't easy to use, I don't understand why people go on about how easy they are to use (and I am not just saying this as I'm selling a Blitz). On the other hand, Blitz DSBC are great, especially the R-Spec, as well as Apexi AVCR. Them too are my favourites, and I have one of each in both my Glanzas. Selling the Blitz to fund for the respray though, as mentioned above (cheers Micky).
  12. Man, that bumper looks to have had a tough life. I hope you didn't pay much for it, otherwise you'd have been better off buying one of my reps.
  13. That makes sense.
  14. I'm sure it says it's supplied with bearings, so why would you need to know how much it's been reground? Or you could ask the seller how much it has been ground. Another crank will work fine, just as long it has the bearings to suit if it's been ground. If it hasn't been ground then you can fit the crank with OEM bearings and it will work fine. You could always double check with the machine shop if in doubt.
  15. Fair enough the old ones knock out but you can't knock the new ones in. You can remove the hub and have them pressed in, that would be the best way if you don't have a compressor/air gun. I tapped the studs in slightly, then put two old brake discs on the hub and screwed old wheel nuts on over them. Once they were in place I used the gun to tighten the nuts, with the force the studs automatically pulled through the hub. I had to heat the hub up as well as they almost got stuck when they got around 80% in, they went straight in fully once the hub was heated though. I'm thinking of going for -2 camber but don't want to wear the tyres too badly, we'll see once it's booked in. I think the NSF needs a new wheel bearing first though as something feels a bit loose.
  16. £815 to insure the GT is too much? So you probably pay like £300 on the NA? Get the GT insured bro, it makes sense especially at that price.
  17. Nice job, car looks clean too. I think the Wedsports looked better than the Rays though.
  18. Incase that fails, here's another option: Instead of paying almost £600 for a crank, just offer this seller £400 for the car, replace the engine with a 4E-FE then sell the car on? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-TOYOTA-PASEO-ST-BLUE-/120846304904?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c23004688
  19. Cheers Dale, that's appreciated! Yes mate here: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item415654fd8d You have a fair point! Update, Emanage has arrived so I'm hoping to fit that on the weekend if I get my Uni work out of the way. Rear bumper completely meshed, that's the rear end of the car done (apart from repairing the chip in the bumper from rolling in to a bollard) How the brakes look behind the wheel, these wheels even made my old Wilwood setup look small! The wheels are out another 5mm now as you can see below, so I need to get some camber on there to stop them catching the arches on sharp turns. I also need to order some more mesh for the bonnet and the front bumper top grill, then concentrate on the interior (mainly new speakers and centre console).
  20. Rare as rocking horse shit tbh. Try all the breakers yards you can find, also drop a PM to GTnomez, he MAY still have his spare one if you're lucky.
  21. They're fake, I wouldn't even trust the ones at £200 unless it's a well know seller/tuning company etc.
  22. Wow, why have I not seen this properly before? Awesome built tbf, it's gonna be silly quick with a turbo! I may be able to source you a red super S bumper too, could get a price if you were interested
  23. Welcome along mate
  24. I thought I'd avoid smashing the hell out of the little stud with a small hammer by the way I posted the sensor to you today, good luck with getting your car running well again.
  25. Cheers Ryan! Finally mate, cheers I'll ask my mate if he can do one for me when he's home from Uni as he's a graphic designer so might be a good help Cheers David! Thanks Phil, I'll see if I can get some pics posted up here before the feature. Cheers mate, a long time coming! Aye, quite rarely see them in there. We need more feature worthy cars Oi you, I only half-stripped it once! Which I don't regret as the money I sold those parts for bought me a daily driver which allowed the Glanza to live on! Cheers Cheers dude! That's a big statement right there, his car is nothing short of JDM porn! Right, little update. I've fitted longer studs to the front hubs on one side, bought them from eBay on Sunday night and they arrived this afternoon (Tuesday). Can't fault that to be fair, especially at the price (~£12 for ten). I'll get on to the other side if I can make time. This was so much easier to do with a compressor and air gun, thanks for tips Wallace ;) it took me around 1.5 hours all in while just relaxing and doing the work slowly (and had 2 cuppas in that time, usually I'm lucky to have one in 3 hours)! Old ones They came off very easily with a slight tap from this huge hammer (which makes my hand look tiny) New brakes refitted with longer studs The wheels fit perfectly now, have 12mm extra thread so nothing to worry about. A few pics from fitting the panhard rod Front end literally sat on the floor (as expected). You may have also noted the new number plates, which were so badly needed (I'm a picky git with number plates). The front is a rear motorbike plate with white backing, and the rear is a full import size 13x7". Rear bumper is meshed now ready to be refitted. More updates soon (all being well)!
