If you haven't had any problems with oil pressure etc then I'd leave it. I'd only be tempted to change it if it had high mileage.

Yes it rotates on the timing belt and can be easily accessed under the bottom cam belt cover. What's the mileage on your engine?

Make sure they are genuine, there are loads of copies available.

Not ideal if you're doing motorway trips (not sure how far you live from work). Mainly due to the engine noise as there's no soundproofing on the firewall and the short gears aren't the best for cruising on the motorway imo. Remove the pump and the pipes, fit a non power steering rack. If you're not going to change to a non P/S rack then don't bother, I tried that on my car and it drove absolutely awful.
