Taggy replied to turbo Grant's topic in EP70 & EP71 Progress Blogs
Have you noticed how flexible the chassis is, when i used to jack mine up on the rear corner, the doors would no longer shut properly lol!! -

-
lol i meant to say 50psi at 3000rpm not 300!!

Somone was after this information before and I just found it in the manual while having a read this morning, useful to know. Copied straight from manual Toyota Recommended Oil pressure max/min ENGINE OILING ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM Crankshaft-driven oil pump provides pressurized engine lubrication. Crankcase Capacity Crankcase capacity with oil filter is 2.9 qts. (2.7L). Oil Pressure With engine at normal operating temperature, oil pressure should be at least 4.3 psi (0.3 kg/cm) at idle and 36-71 psi (2.5-5.0 kg/cm) at 3000 RPM. I checked mine last night and at idl

td04 toyo sports manifold & down pipe
Taggy replied to ryan22laird's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
bargain, looks like it was used for about 10 seconds judging by the colour on the pipes still? -
Jesus Asbo why can't you just get it into your head Adam didn't nick your money, just because he was the go between doesn't mean it was his fault and its clearly been proved this is a massive international scam you all got caught up in. Members in here are trying to help you out but it seems your more interested in mugging everyone off about it. Have you even reported it to the police like Jay says? If it was my 5 grand I would have been on a flight to Malta long ago with a bat!

still after a knock sensor!! anyone???
-
I built my own forged motor, but by the time you spend all the money on parts and machine work etc it was coming in the same price as what you could buy one from the likes of such as Tuningdevelopments ready built and these had the added bonus of coming with 12months warrenty for failure. Just food for thought as the savings are not as great as you would expect on the self buld I did do a diary building mine too if you need help, its http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/58187-how-to-build-a-forged-5efte-engine-step-by-step-guide/?hl=%2Btaggys+%2B5e+%2Bguide

LSD or better tyres
-
yeah I had heard about that, think i will sand it down and respray it!
-
Actually i just realised i only need to change the servo bit, i dont need the master cylinder parts so will save me bleeding the brakes
-
Can a dodgy brake servo give me spongy brakes, its definetly not a bleeding issue as I have had it done by Grant and my self previously and it feels the same. There is no sharpness to the brakes at all when you brake hard think I am going to change the servo as me hitting it with a hammer to get it to fit may have done somthing to it lol ;)
-
name your best price posted
-
Complete working brake servo with master cylinder please including the lid, must be in good condition, so no horrible rusty ones please
-
My rocker has gone flakey and I also want to change the colour, (green doesnt seem so cool any more lol!) I want to go for somthing less flash and just want a flat grey. Whats the best way to repspray it, i need to get off the old paint some how before i can paint it? Any suggestions

Is this the positive terminal without battery lug on it?
Taggy replied to dangeestarlet's topic in Electronics
The positive will be next to the diagnostic port or at least close to it! The loom is split into two seperate sections, of which is the large section which goes behind the clocks and dash, then you get another section which comes through the firewall and has all the injector harness and the rest of the engine bay plugs on. -
just make sure you inspect all 4 pistons, they usually break in pairs.
-
i think its quite a difficult job to convert these, nothing fits and its all arse backwards in terms of fitting the engine in the bay! You would need some good welding skills no doubt, but then again i wouldn't want to ruin it doing that. Just mod the original engine, bet it sounds nice on throttle bodies
-
Any of the starlet GT/Glanza coil overs fit the boxy starlet, you will need to drill two extra holes on the strut mounts though for them to fit in engine bay which is a 5 minute job. I have got DC2's on mine but i wouldn't recommend them, they are way too stiff and ruin the ride. I heard BC coil overs are softer, or any other brand for that matter! Have a look around in the for sale section, people are usually selling a set
-
ohh my god lovely How much do you reckon its worth?
