Yeah, people said i shoiuldnt reuse it, but i paid shit loads for it and i never started the engine so thought i would give it a shot, worked fine with no problems and there was no damage to it either when i unbolted the head and swapped it around.

Yep its really easy to put on the wrong way around, the oil way is easy to miss, i bloody did it lol, oil was pissing out the bottom left corner of the head lol, pain in the ass but was ok when i took it off and swapped around if you have arp head bolts you can also reuse them up to 10 x

Looks like i need to take the head off to see whats going on, I have checked the valves and it seems ok, compression is down to 120 on cylinder 2 and 175 on the other 3. So doesnt look good unless the head gasket is screwed, which i doubt as its a metal athena one. If its anything else which involves me taking the engine out I am gonna break the whole car, I really cant be fucked with it now.

Yeah i only need to start it for abot 5 secconds, just so i can see if the valve is goosed or not lol ok maybe i will do that :

I need to identify if a valve is fucked on my head and leaking exhaust gasses into the oil ways and not from the rings and via the sump, but i need to be able to look at to see which one its coming from, can i start the engine with the rocker off for a brief moment? Or will i literally get completly covered in oil Or is there an easier way to do it

What the fuck is it with starlets and bad luck, i am getting sick of it!! I was driving home last night casually, lol and yes for a change i wasnt bootng it, but as i was going up a hill i noitced a tappety sound appear which was not there before. Once home and i have had a chance to look, my rocker was lightly covered in oil plus my top end sounds really rattly and i have got lots of exhaust vapour and oil coming out my breather again. Fuck sake!!! It cant be a broken ringland as they are forged, could somthing be fucked in the head to let exhaust gasses into the engine?

i had the same problem, once you rotate the turbo the actuator doesnt fit, and when you fit it on with one bolt the actuator arm isnt parallel with the wastegate arm, this then causes problems dumping excess boost, even with an ebc as it cant physically open the wastegate enough.your gonna need to fabricate a new bracket. you need to make sure 1. the actuator arm is straight with the wastegate arm 2. the actuator can freely move to open and close, if you need more scope to open the wastegate,i packed mine with loads of washers to move the actuator more to the right, you will just need

hey rbz just beem reading through this the Td04 doesnt suffer from boost creep, the wastegate is really big even using with just a iinternal actuator, if your still getting creep then its down to your actuator, especially as you mention your using an internal one. its probably not opening up fully, how have you hooked it up? you say your ebc isnt controlling the boost, fucked actuator or improperly mounted actuator i would say

if your gonna pay £500 quid for a plug and play why not goto tuning developments and get a fitted emanage blue system mapped to your liking, its the same price, plug and play is good but you wont get any where near the hp gain of a mapped ECU. There thats my free advertising for tuningdevlopments
