  1. Well done mate! Thats a magic opportunity! by the way you think thats bad... I did 12k in 5 months on my GT.. Hence why i have a Caddy as a daily
  2. Last night i fitted my Powdercoated rocker, Dizzy, HT Leads, finished fitting Roose motorsport hoses, lightweight pulleys ( However the alternator one is still beating me ) and more powerflex polybushes
  3. Should there not be a hole in the shaft for a split pin aswell? Give it a tighten up with a power bar and if there is a hole line it up and fit a split pin bud!
  4. In my opinion bud.. Keep the V
  5. Yeah that was Viva la bam! Absolutely hilarious
  6. Thats alright then.. FIrst MOT wont have a map down though so was a wee bit wary
  7. I'd like to think i would be testing mine by then but my build takes a different direction on a regular occassion . Let me know though dude!
  8. Thats rather tasty mate! Loving the TRD Harnesses!
  9. Arite okay, thats interesting. I might just try my M.O.T with a TD04 on and see what happens. Wouldnt want to be left not being able to test it though! Cheers lads appreciate it.
  10. Just wanted to hear what you boys/girls do come M.O.T time? My next M..O.T i wont have my car mapped so need to get her through for a start, so i was going to use my CT9 setup. But after that, do you boys/girls manage to get through the next M.O.T without changing the TD04 out to fit a cat in? Mine is a 95 model, i know an idle test only applies to pre 93.. Cheers for any Help John
  11. 2 port catch can on both mate
  12. Yeah buddy, two tank method is the ideal way.
  13. scared you into submission Nazz?!
  14. Cant say im impressed at my self for taking so long but well well, i have a better understanding now.. However chatter due to a pressurised head.... Have to go sort myself out with new catch cans and a new rocker cause my standard one isnt any good... Quality Cheers John
  15. Arite okay then, You and Fowcbler have the same drawing in essence. So achieving this setup through the one catch can is pretty difficult!? Im gonna go and see if there is a way it can be done.. Makes sense now lads! That was a long trip . There is probably more that i havent got my head round yet, but i will. Appreciate the patience though! Cheers John
  16. Ahh okay pal thanks for that, i was unaware that it didnt flow back away from the manifold. So placing a Check valve in the PCV line on the race tech rockers would cure it? A question i was going to ask, the port on the inlet manifold that will become free due to the racetech rocker, how could you plum that in to prevent it from being left open? Cheers John
  17. Thats an easy job! Well worth doing though! Exactly how James said aaswell. John
  18. Well apologies im taking so long to grasp this, but im not giving up till i get it. I understand what Gavin says about the negative pressure in the crankcase and what way the vacuum goes etc.. So from that this is what i have sussed in my head about the two can method... One line takes from the air filter relocation bend feeding into a can, which then runs to your intake.. The next line takes from the PCV valve and into a can and then on to the inlet manifold. Your line from your air intake needs a check valve in it to prevent flow back to pre turbo meaning the oil/gas resides in the can. No need for a check valve in the other can because the PCV valve is doing that job? Im sorry if this seems easy to grasp, but my car had a half assed setup previous so i never had anything to learn from really off of mine. I wish this had come to light sooner, wouldnt have wasted my money on a racetech! John
  19. Thanks for that Gavin, that makes sense to me. So in your opinion the best setup for my car would be?... And should i keep my raceteck rocker or?... Cheers John
  20. Nah, from what i can gather he has put the catch tank inbetween effectively! John
  21. Ive just had a look at Sparky's and Gavins. Gavin has a feed from his air intake and a feed from his PCV going to his catch tank. Not quite understanding why there is a feed being taken from the air intake... John
  22. I thought that, but now im not even sure! The direction of flow would be from the rocker to the inlet would it not? So i can appreciate that the PCV should be left... How ever what i dont get is taking a feed from the air intake? Is this extracting oil vapour on the way in? And connecting it to the breather purely to collect oil? John
  23. I think ive just lost faith in my decision to buy a racetech rocker.. But again im not sure why! And saying this is going to get me an ass whooping but... Im with Dean, my thought was to have it to keep it clean.. Someone tried before to explain this to me and i still dont get it! And i normally pick things up quickly! Cheers John
