Hey guys, We've had unique situation which has led to the development of our CT9 Hybrid turbo. Over here the Starlets/Glanzas run in a homologated race class where you are allowed to upgrade the CT9 to a hybrid as long as it retains stock compressor/turbine housings. There by, our mission from the start was to come up with the best hybrid combo despite the extremely restrictive regulations. Max power and spool over the stock unit was priority. There were three areas which we wanted to address... Larger billet wheel... instead of taking an existing wheel and adapting it
-
to be honest...for drag...i cant tell a difference between the two. both seem equally capable.
-
i've always had the larger 4-pot brake kit on my car. then when i switched to 13's...i down sized to the smaller micro-6 kit must come soon mate
-
not the best picture...cant see much..but the calipers have very little clearance with the 13' rim. i'll try to get a better pic...
-
yes..i use the same brakes with my 13" drag wheel set up.
-
you can fit 13's with the micro-6.

welcome. lovely looking EP...

Which internal wastegate actuator for a td04?
wickedep replied to Nilz90's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
we do not sell these mate. they come with stock bracket...chances are you've rotated the housings on your turbo...so you'd need to modify the existing bracket much like what you have probably already done with the stock td04 actuator you are currently using. -
you'd definitely trim the side exhaust a bit mate...

try the turbosmart IWG-75 internal waste gate suited for td04L. they work well... -

was this on a mainline dyno mate?

people keep talking about how 5e's dont like to rev...this is myth. you can rev to 8.5K rpm safely. in most cases 7.5K- 8k rpm is ample for most builds as most would use small frame turbos. if you plan to make over 275bhp...then it doesn't matter if you choose 4e/5e..you'd still need to forge for reliability...so, IF exceeding this power...by all means a forged 5e will be better than 4e any day...
-
if 5e is an option for you...go for it. you wont regret it. there are no cons..only pros...but you'd need to forge the 5e to make the most of it...
