It's got a kinda Pontiac/ Ferrari/ f1 kinda inspired nose I think I woulda been worshipped back in the 90s
-
I Personally wouldn't re use one. Although am sure you would get away with it on most occasions. But for the hassle of building it back up again to re strip and rebuild if it doesn't seal just seems like to much of a ballache to risk

Aye mines the same its almost like a little snake as each tyre bites for grip

JDM Starlets in the UK - Stats & Index?
_shaun_ replied to Socks's topic in News & General Announcements
As above its easy enough to get if u have the car or know it. It would be really beneficial to have a notes system on it but it needs some security so not every joe blogs can abuse it by leaving daft notes or just generally nosey. -
No bother at all mate
-
Anything can be done with enought money but its just not cost effective todo it would be more cost effective to just transplant a. Different 4wd running gear totaly. The ep*5 starlets are extremely rare and very expensive builds even to start with a manual. I searched 2-3 years looking for my 3 door manual in that time I've seen prob a hundred auto ones. Generally people building the 4wd starlets are true starlet nuts looking to build the perfect car which for almost everyone doesn't involve an old auto box system that's why no one really wastes time importing them
-
The ep*5 box is what makes it 4wd rather than sending power to the 2 front wheels it sends it also had a transfer box attachment that sends it down to the rear wheels aswell. Engines can be changed but gearbox/ running gear there two different things you can fit the normal box but then your just left with a common fwd starlet ha
-
There's no difference in engines just the gearboxes its a simple conversation fix the gearbox on attach a clutch slave and pedal and run shifter lines to a Manual shifter but actualy finding a ep*5 manual box is dam near impossible

I always wanted to make a front cut BBQ like the one from gatebill but dont have the fab skills should do that ha! -
A ep91 box is common and a custom one is 2k. A custom ep* 5 I reakon your into 3grand. Could modify another cars running gear but unless you have a decent work shop with all the tools paying someone fabrication costs is crazy

Good to see this being done was discussed quite awhile back id like to see the basic Info listed and perhaps if you can enter the last 4 digits of the chassis code you can see the more in depth details like notes. Left by past owners means for example if i sold a rotten as hell shell to some friendly person like vri I could list it was a total shit box and to make sure any buyers check x y z for rust repairs. Its simple to find out the chassis code if you own or look at the car but prevents people just prying for the sake of it -
See one for sale on tgtt ages ago don't really think they have much if a value since everyone converts to mph
-
A 2.5 straight thought I still woulda thought you would have for over 250. Most people pull easy 250-260 on japspeed exhausts. Best speak to the tuner and see what he thinks
-
Aye decky spent a fair whack and got it forged sold it before it was mapped and its went down hill since it had a oil leak from crank seal aswell unless someone had it fixed
-
Aye that's would be spot on mate
