    Gauges

I have prosports I've went for oil pressure, temp, boost and water and then I have aem wideband. Adapters to fit are easy got just say what gauges you want and someone can tell you what you need
  2. I've just removed the battery terminol from the main positive lead it just unbolted from memory then that connects onto the fuse. All the stock starter wiring and fuses are still in place I then got an audio earthing block which takes different sizes of gauge cable and replaces all the stock earths from that. Its pretty much just the same idea as a aftermarket earthing kit but more suited to my set up. And yea its also earthed to the boot from the terminal and also sub wiring
  3. Really good special but aye was well over the top reaction . Am in two minds if it was a set Up would make good tv but on the other hand I stay close to Glasgow I've seen some rediculoius things raised with the whole rangers Celtic thing. There was one years ago when people complained about asda being near Ibrox because there signs are green. When people are passionate about things its daft what offends them
  4. I've done mine abit differently and overkill.Since I have a side exit I ran the cables down the exhaust tunnel. I have a kill switch on the battery side and a 150 amp fuse on the bay side. Kill switch isn't needed but I'd certainly advise a fuse. I've also used 0 gauge cable and also ran an earth cable to the engine bay into a custom earthing kit. Start cranks alot nicer with the earth done that way. Am sure it was morgey I was speaking to said he had some starter issues when he stuck the battery in the boot
  5. I had a few sitting for ages can't remember if I threw them out or not I'll have a dig around
  6. It's always a gamble really I've bought from People when I've read here build thread and it all looks proper and it a turned out to be Pikeyed and I've bought some that should have really blew up on the way home and have turned out solid. Take your time looking round the car and make sure your happy with everything its not always about paperwork. I do all my own work myself so despite the oil being changed 4 times in the last 7 months and it only covering about 2k miles none of it is noted down. Keep an eye out on things like wiring and how visable jobs have been done the likely hood is if
  7. Looks stock but the peeled of sticker could be a sign of a p+p remove the cover and look for a daughter board
  8. There was a thread morgey had started with pics off all the different lsds in the boxes. Can't find it on my phone but he's the man to ask.
  9. Back in my v tech y0 days someone sujested spray on silicone grease and it worked wonders I'd try that . Am not sure to be honest it was when my car was being mapped the alt died and they sorted it out being refurbed am sure a quick google search show your places that do it close by. Shame really a lot of mechanics used to refurb these sorta parts now most are just fitters of parts
  10. Greasing the window frame works well. If that's still not fast enought use any left over grease to lube yourself up for when Toyota bend you over! Ha I'd personally look to a motor refurb company than buy new I was quoted like 190 for a new alternator and it only cost me £39 to have the whole thing refurbed
  11. They are the poverty spec because they where the cheapest with no fancy bits. Am Unsure if p sport is actauly a term Toyota use to market them or people just try blag it as a sales point.
  12. Out of curiosity what's your price range?

    Few bits

    Jd tuning sell them new
  14. Aye seen it on the inside of a lot of vag cars dunno how well it holds up in the engine bay. Think sadly wires are just doomed to be ugly. As I say the braided covers look realy nice but for the hassle of cutting and redoing plugs think just aswell doing a full wire tuck
  15. I just used black electrical tape same as it comes wrapped in. You get some nice braided covers but would require the plugs to be removed
  16. Mines short ha! Think I have ht lead size envey!
  17. If you stay clear of said slipper wanker and find a nice example they can be very reliable it's when you start chasing bigger power issues creep in that said I had one for a daily running around 260bhp on a stock engine for a year and never gave me any bother at all. If your looking to buy one advertised on line you can always stick the link up here for people to look at. People can pick apart the bullshit and possible know the cars history
  18. Ahh that's shit mate bad times. I woulda snapped up that Bmcs! What's the wattage on the amp any idea?

    wire tuck

I'd run them thought the passanger side wing
  20. Just told the center button on the gauge during start up and turn it off again and the beeping is gone
  21. It's an exedy 3 puk by the looks of it

    wire tuck

It's very time consuming. Just make sure your soldering skills are upto par before you start. Ive done small things like alarms and different wires and you can lose half a day just trying todo 2 wires. Be a lot easier with your engine out and ina proper garage tho
