    top speed

Depends on rev limit and tyre size. But a stock box will do about 168mph ish. Because these cars are so light you can get away with tall gearing because it pulls through quicker. That said those that are running big power will probably tell you they could do with even longer gearing
  2. Believe the piston size is all the same. Rebuilding them isn't a terribly difficult job, you just need to make sure that everything is clean when you put it back together because any dirt/grit between the piston and cylinder will wear it out fast. There isn't a "how to" I don't think, but long story short, caliper off and drain the fluid, use compressed air to push the piston out, remove the dust seal, then the square cut seal and any others behind (if there is any), then clean and rebuild in opposite order. Be sure to lube everything up in brake fluid when you re-assemble. Also be ca
  3. Don't believe that will be completely correct. You need to know the centre of gravity height and the ride height, along with a few other things, and beside its all down to driver preference as well and understanding vehicle balance.

Half a litre won't be enough of a loss to make the light come on. Replace the pressure switch on the front of the block, that's what normally plays games with you.

    oil presure

Does the light flicker? Or is it just on constantly?
  6. I personally haven't used them, but I haven't heard any bad things about the ride quality. Again if you want to change that I'm sure they will be happy to change spring rates.
  7. Firstly what ecu have you got and who's going to map it? Do they know starlets well? I would choose the 0.5mm, the E series engine lacks peak pressure as it is, lowering the compression ratio isn't going to help much.
  8. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone who will map it, they are relatively simple to map compared to some ECU's software I've seen/used. If someone can map a piggyback they should well be able to map a standalone, it just takes slightly longer because you have to start from scratch with the start up enrichment etc.
  9. Pretty damn low from what I've seen. Low enough for it to be impractical put it that way loi.
  10. Love this Lew, looks mega. Very good purchase, must say I do prefer the R32 over tge R33 as well. Pretty good spec there as well, should last you a while! Very expensive to mod though
  11. If you can find someone who is comfortable mapping the Emerald then yes go for it, coming with a harness as well it will certainly be a bargain.
  12. Very good ECU's, they have good actuation control. They are quite old now though compared to the likes of Syvecs, Pectel who are constantly updating with new features and software. But for the average Starlet owner who doesn't want to spend 3x as much as they paid for the car on a box of electronics then they are fine.
  13. If your looking for dedicated coilovers that are specific to a vehicle where they have taken into account the vehicles suspension design then YellowSpeed are the best from that list. The others are generic coilovers where just the bodies are changed for mounting to a vehicles hub. You can't go too far wrong with Meister or BC though.
  14. Their the same, but there are two different versions with the oil seal.

  16. Depends on a lot of factors like fuel used, ignition advance, exhaust size, compression ratio etc list goes on and on. But I would expect it to make 1 bar around 3900rpm ish.
  17. They are very good and I know a lot of people are using them in the Honda scene now.
  18. Just added individual component prices to first page, or see below: Individual Pricing : Turbo : £1200 Manifold + Downpipe + Screamer : £500 Tial MVS 38mm External Wastegate : £235 Postage including on all items.
  19. You want a bolt that's ideally inbetween all cylinders. There should be a bolt under the inlet manifold I believe that you can bolt them too. What's the setup of your car? Do you have any aftermarket management that you can adjust so you can hear knocking deliberately? Do you know what knock sounds like?
  20. YellowSpeed are very good and are used in a lot of racing series. They are relatively new to the scene, but are up there with the likes of BC etc.
