Brand new 450bhp Custom Garrett GT28 Turbo (SOLD!)
AdamB replied to AdamB's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Everything still here pal. -
Why do you want one? OEM one is just as good unless your going to rev the tits off the engine. I know TMD used to sell them, maybe TD can get hold of them?
-
Haha make me an offer pal ;)

Can't get much better than this for a 5E http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/69854-brand-new-450bhp-custom-garrett-gt28-turbo-kit-new-pics/?hl=garrett

New parts added!

Depends on what your budget is and how much power you want, you got td/vf series turbo's, t25, t3, t4, IHI etc.
-
Thats only if its excessive. Best to get a sniff test done to see if there is any CO in the coolant system.

Got some recaro rails here mate?
-
I got a set of recaro rails for an ep82 here mate.

Why have it taken up with different exhaust configurations? Why not just use one exhaust system and stick to it?
-
I've never seen any hard evidence whether as to if it works or not. Since new gears are extremely costly I would look at getting your current gear set (providing they are in good condition) annealed to relieve the stress and fatigue in them. No matter what you do though you are still going to be limited by gear/tooth width and tooth profile which is why aftermarket gearboxes are so expensive due to the R&D that goes into tooth profiling.

Can you not run multiple maps? Been a while since I played with DTA software. I wouldn't say a EBC is better than the ecu's control, but that depends what ecu you have I suppose.

Remember those are the minimum figures.

Theres only 1 lambda which is at the top. The one at the bottom is a cat temp sensor and you don't need it to run the car

Either valve stem seals or turbo mate, but they would both burn blue. Are you sure its white smoke your getting?
-
is there a such thing as a 4efhe engine???
AdamB replied to Happyb's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
If its a 1.5 it will be the 5EFHE, and the cynos has the FHE I think. -
Only one is the AVCR as far as I know. Why don't you get it setup through the ecu? Its far more accurate with PID control.
-
Oil burns blue mate not white, white is water. Anything higher than 140psi and within 14.5psi of each cylinder would be a good mark. Might be worth getting a sniff test and a leak down test done.

Its all personal preference really. Stack have been around a long time and are good at what they do. STRI look better with different styles of gauges and colours etc. I have some STRI gauges for sale if your interested

Ay thats alright mate, just putting it up here for everyone to see, I have nothing to hide at the end of the day, I was done over as well so making snidey little threats towards me isn't getting anyone no where. Thanks mate, was a pleasure to do business and I will continue to do the same for anyone else that buys parts from me

Have you got proof of sending the money? Have you contacted Action Fraud via their website? Action Fraud Crime Reference Number - NFRC121100106071 Have you taken any action at all? I first went to the bank who said they wasn't able to do anything to recover the money since it was sent as a transfer rather than a payment, if I had got told what this meant when I was sending the money I obviously would have sent as a payment. I tried ti pursue with Action Fraud but they wouldn't let me for some reason, can't remember what they said now, was quite a while ago when I asked abou

Measure everything, and don't use a ruler either use the proper measurement equipment like telescopic gauges, bore gauges, micrometers etc. You can easily spend £1000 alone just on measuring equipment so you have to justify if its worth building the motor yourself or getting someone else to do it. Boils down to the spec you want and how much knowledge you have.

Or just pray your belt don't skip a tooth lol.

Sure it hasn't got forged pistons? They tend to rattle when cold. It won't be the pulley itself, it will be the woodruff key, although if left untreated for a period of time it may well have fucked the pulley as well.
