  1. Take a read Rob, plenty to go on for the release bearing mate. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/65539-gear-box-noise/?hl=%2Bspec+%2Brelease+%2Bbearing#entry839202 http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/49448-question-about-the-kit-clutch/?hl=%2Bspec+%2Brelease+%2Bbearing#entry638935 http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/70112-clutch-fried-already/?hl=%2Bspec+%2Brelease+%2Bbearing http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/67501-tuning-developments-bad-experience/?hl=%2Bspec+%2Brelease+%2Bbearing
  2. From what I got told the knock sensors are a one time trip thing, once it detects knock it pulls the EML up and trips the sensor. Only way to get it to go off is to replace it, and that the knock sensor has no bearing on the ecu in closed loop, its just a fail safe. How true that is I don't know though. I'm guessing chances are you probably have a wiring fault, you would be able to hear if its knocking or not.
  3. Harmonic damper all day long. I would take the extra reliabilty over the weight of a turd anyday.
  4. Bearings have been known to be faulty even when brand new mate. I'll take a guess and say its that, best bet us to grab another from Mike@TD.
  5. Anything that uses radial mounts can be made to fit, Brembo, AP, Tarox etc.
  6. Part numbers are the same according to ToyoDIY for a 97 glanza and euro N/A.
  7. Thanks mate, everytime I get it out the box I must say I do dribble a little
  8. Should still be able to get the rubber ones from Toyota, but I'm just guessing. Might be worth a phone call though
  9. You have to take the crank out anyway to be reground so you may as well replace all the bearings, gaskets, timing belt etc. Probably best to change the oil pump as well whilst your there. As above, either not enough pressure due to lack of oil or oil pump failure (which seems quite rare) or a blockage at the pick up. Did you check the pick up when you replaced the bearings the first time round? I've seen quite a few times people tend to use a shed load of sealant on the sumps and it comes off and blocks the pick up.
  10. Bump Forged engine bits back up for sale.
  11. It will knock again because the problem was never rectified in the first place. There's obviously a reason as to why the bearings have gone, mainly due to oil starvation 99% of the time. Chances are it will probably need to be reground now.
  12. The JDM 100ps engine will be the best, although hard to find.
  13. Be better off with something where you can have switchable maps imo. There's nothing hard about understanding water/meth injection, any tuner should be able to do it for you.
  14. Guessing you mean the cable bushes? http://www.tuningdevelopments.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=502_520_587&products_id=1306
  15. Yes they would. And I wouldn't say the C52 is stronger than the C56, its just the fact the ratio's are longer therefore the torque is better spread.
  16. It's trial and error as to how you drive. I find anymore than 28 psi and the car feels too light.
  17. Always worth changing for the sake of a few quid, their not the most reliable of pumps.
  18. Ah okay. I would first check the rail to see if its actually pumping, is it a brand new pump?
