Brand new 450bhp Custom Garrett GT28 Turbo (SOLD!)
AdamB replied to AdamB's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
£2300 need this gone to fund a new car. -
Skim the head , use flat top pistons (although I wouldn't recommend), use a thinner headgasket 0.6mm is ideal. I highly doubt you will ever get a td05 to spool like a td04 unfortunately. If your looking for more power with around the same spool as td04 then look at dual ball bearing turbo's, but they are expensive. Getting the compression ratio to around the 8.5:1 mark will yield a nice gain. No reason why you can't run 9:1 but I doubt there's enough material in the head to be able to do this without having the valves bashing the pistons at full lift.

Ay mate always had my N/A as a daily, I have sold a few bits mate but I'm itching to get another wee turbo beasty haha, don't be too surprised if you see me putting a wanted thread up soon Bit far for me to travel and collect mate. Ideally after a full system from cat back, current OEM system has started blowing.
-
Looking for a fairly cheap exhaust system for my daily N/A so don't wanna spend too much, but let me know what you got

Got some recaro's on recaro ep82 rails mate?
-
K&N service oil mate.
-
Don't really need to do anything with the K&N's really, they still flow really well with an inch thick of dirt on them. But just wash under water, dry it off with compressed air and re-oil the element, normally do it every engine oil change.

My first year was with Quinn on a 1.6 corsa sport I paid £1600. Now 4 years later I pay £351 with Privellege on an N/A starlet.

Bump still here -
Good rods, on the same lines as Scat and their cheap. They do the job
-
If your running a blitz ecu then no,they remove fuel cut and are quite rich so you'll have no problems
-
Drop you a pm mate.
-
Shame its a bit out my price range, would have had this for a daily
-
Drop Abbott a pm mate, he got his and Jamie's from Rob Bernard who built his engine.
-
Some more advice I'll give is don't jump straight on what ever a tuner suggests and do some research about a unit. Theres really no point paying the extra for an ecu if its got 12 injection and 8 ignition outputs, when a starlet only needs 4.
-
An ecu isn't just about power, to me its about a smoother operation of the engine. There are a lot of ecu's out there, but it all comes down to your budget and what you require from an ecu. If you just want a map and where your not going to be stressing the stock ignition system so much then a piggyback is fine, but when you start pushing the limits you will need something with better control and more features.

Differences between Upgraded Injectors and fuel p regulator?
AdamB replied to smb2011's topic in Ignition & Fueling
To make the most of it you would need a programmable management system to adjust the opening times of the injectors, but if you do decide to fit larger injectors you can reduce the fuel pressure. Depends what boost your running really, 1 bar on a td04 and the stock injectors are fine. -
Xxr wheels you will struggle because they come in wide sizes and low offsets. Grids will be alright providing you don't go low on the offset. 6.5J width and anything around the 35-42 offset will fit fine.
-
They will probably steer you towards their Wolf ecu that they are familier with then mate, they do offer a well priced package supplied, fitted and mapped.
-
Waiting on them to be collected mate.
-
Best to choose your tuner then let them decide what ecu, they will be the ones programming it and if their not familier with the software you'll end up with a shit map. If you want the best then get a Pectel, but you'll be spending as much as a Supra on the unit alone.

Cheers Mark, glad it got to you eventually and not damaged
