  1. I wonder if they will sell them over here or if they'll just be a JDM thing, would certainly be interested in buying the Vitz/Yaris.
  2. Technically it is true, you will need a remap to make the most of what you have done, now because the air is going to be more dense and cooler it means you can increase the ignition advance to gain more torque. However there is no harm running it on a stock ecu.
  3. See this the other day on facebook, taken a beating that's for sure.
  4. The GT86 looks promising, although people have already been slapping turbo's on them from day 1, interesting to see that they are relating to the Supra, I thought they were bringing out a new Supra? Love the look of that Yaris, would be interesting to see what kinda suspension setup it has though, hopefully be something vastly improved over the starlet.
  5. 2nd this mate! Recently split with my now ex of 4 years within the last couple of months, got under someone else within the first week and haven't turned back lol.
  6. Change valve springs to something stiffer like the zisco ones and fit ARP rod bolts. One thing I always found with the N/A was it was lacking revs.
  7. Of course it is, tuners over here are too scared to push the boundaries lol. Nice motor, wish there was a build thread, would make for an interesting read

I moved out for 4 years but had to move back because me and the girlfriend split up. I had a 1bedroom flat with 1 parking space and paid £700 PCM private renting + bills on top. She earned £1100 a month after tax and I earned around £900 a month after tax and I was at uni full time as well. It is epic to move out, so much independence and you can do what you want when you want, personally I certainly wouldn't bother renting again, not privately anyway because you just get raped in the ass spending money that you'll never see again. Would be far better off just saving up for a couple of yea
  9. Yep I agree, would have gone with either the Spec or Competition Clutch
  10. Bear in mind general rule is the less pucks on a friction disc the harsher and harder it is to drive.

x2 becoming a common problem now.
  12. Getting a decat made isn't the end of the world. Any exhaust shop should be able to fabricate one no bother.
  13. Pm'd back mate. Valve springs now sold. Also sorted my paypal out so can take payments
  14. I've been told that kaaz/TRD/Cusco all come out the same factory. I would choose one of those over a quaife anyday.
  15. "Followed" is the interesting word there haha! Looking forward to seeing these wheels pal.
  16. I thought they were different, the 4EFE crank is marked 4E, where as the turbo crank is marked 4ET.
  17. I would still expect the engine to start even on only 3 cylinders, it will just be pretty rough. Agree with Morgey, check the earths around the bay, these cars are getting on a bit now.
  18. Edited post mate. Cranks tend to last quite a while if the pistons and rods are lighter, along with not going too mental on the rpm limits, but most peoples turbos will run out of puff before the crank rpm becomes an issue. I'm sure RobH is still using the N/A crank and hes over 300bhp I think.
  19. Lol back to that old chessnut. That's purely the engine builder/owners decision, but balancing the rotating assembly is one of the very few procedures I would personally take in building a motor. The list of machine work to carry out on an engine is quite defined and in all honesty I've not seen many people carry out half the things when building a proper blueprinted motor. List of things I would advise when building a motor: Crack test the block and head Line bore the main bearings Bore the cylinders Check cylinder wall thickness Ensure cylinders are 90 degrees to crank centreline Crack te
  20. Depends what kinda build your doing, if its a stock build the crank would be the last of my worries. If its a forged motor then providing its static and dynamically balanced I see no reason why it can't take as much as a turbo crank.
  21. I'm not mate but its the one I was going to choose for my build. Heard good things from a lot of people about them.
  22. Get a clutch which is un-sprung for drag racing mate, otherwise you will find you will blow the springs out of any sprung clutch disc during launches. It will make it harder to drive though and will be more harsh to use. Competition clutches are very good.
