Feels fine in them all, even managed to get reverse (with some effort) and the input shaft spins fine in all gears. Is the amount of play mentioned above ok?

Eh, ended up buying a gearbox when I was out so won't have funds for this until monday or possibly thursday. Feel free to sell it to someone else before then, if not then I will take it.

As in where the cables attach to it? Also how can I select the gears by hand?

my car smokes white on startup but totally goes away once it is warmed up and has no smoke at all when idling warm. It is however using some water but I am putting this down to a very old radiator as it has been using a small amount of water since I bought it.

Just picked up a manual box for my auto>manual conversion and was wondering if there is any way to check it before I put it on the car. Gave the guy 50 quid for it and will give him another 50 if it's a good box but don't want to put it on if I can check it 1st. There is maybe 2mm of play on the input shaft (in and out) but none at all side to side, is this ok? Also the oil seals look visually ok, what else can I do to check it?

Clutch kit sorted. Other bolts still needed though. Does anyone at all have them? Even part numbers so I can buy them?

Probably 4mm for most things, 6mm with clips if you want to be safe for ordering.

I will mark them all up just incase. Think I will go for the bonnet off, radiator, strut brace, etc off. Anything else need to come off like the battery tray or screenwasher bottle?

Is there any vacuum, water or other lines/wires that aren't obvious and I may forget? haha

Hopefully but never seems to turn out that way. I can see the wee black box, it's close but should be out the way enough to mount the pedal, especially the bottom bolt it's miles out the road. Is the engine easy enough to take out?

I currently have the panel that has the speaker and internal fuse box on it and there seems to be plenty of room to see where it goes?

Yeah I seen the indents but Fealscot reckons the bolts are a night mare to get on? OD bulb and selector lights can get electrical tape infront of them for now haha.
