Sounds ignition related, like spark not reaching the plugs, check the distributor cap for cracks. Inspect the rotor arm, king lead and plugs.

For sure, no doubt about that, but i was just questioning why the ecu would let the cylinder mixture run leaner when there is more oxygen being introduced. I guess it's not much to worry about and the A/F could be affected by 101 number of factors.

Okay thanks, would have thought the stock or Plug and play ecu will compensate for the extra oxygen and keep the A/F consistant so as not to go leaner.

Hey i am not sure about this, but i think the top 3 or 4 drivers carry a weight handicap into the next race.

It's the correct way to drive i agree, but with all the gadgets you can have for the transmission, driveline and suspension, you can't go much wrong with FWD. Each to their own i guess, but RWD would be a hell of a lot of fun regarding driving pleasure. Majority of the BTCC race cars are FWD drive and they do really well for the amount of power they run. The KP series are RWD and theres folk who set them up for drift and grip driving and it looks like a lot of fun!

If not already done, the hi/lo boost solenoid bypass will be a good one to do. Replacing the standard actuator for a reinforced adjustable one like a HKS is a good mod too. Piggy back ecu i would recommend Emanage Ultimate or AEM FIC, they both work well on the EP. Some members have ported the stock exhaust manifold with good results, but if you are planning to increase the power and boost i would highly recommend getting the stock cat/downpipe replaced for a decat as this is quite a big restriction and will help your motor to breathe easy. It would be a good idea to give the car a service before you start to increase the power!

Infini EP82, Classic. Love the setup on this EP, ultimate response machine. Ran a very similar setup to this years ago with a high flow ct9, it was amazing on the streets.
