Lol I had mine mapped about 3 weeks ago and within a week the bottom end started tapping, speedo on the clocks stopped working and rear wiper motor seized. Good luck with getting it sorted though at least if its top end you could just get another head skimmed and plonk that on while this one is being fixed.

Yeah in still not taking for granted that its not going to start knocking again though. But just reached 400 miles and sounds well and oil looks good. Sam brought some sump sealant from work. Thick black stuff that stinks but does te job well. Never had a sump leak with this suff yet. Yeah I would love to get the LSD box on soon, just one of those pain in the arse jobs which will end up in me throwing stuff haha. Soon though hopefully. And maybe rarb and a new set of clocks this weekend (speedo stopped working on mine)

i have a few kicking around so hopefully i won't end up buying a new one. but thanks for the heads up! had a brainwave last night. i think the wastegate penny on the turbo may be leaking a wee bit when it gets warm as there's not a lot of weld holding it shut. going to take the decat off the turbo this weekend and have a look and bang some more weld on it for peace of mind.

I quit once then started six months later. Then one day I was suffering with an epic chesty cold and I had a cig and it nearly made me sick! Put me off for good and I havnt had one in nearly 3 years . I still see people light up and think about how I would like to have one but you always need that element of will power. After 2 weeks the cravings start to really subside and after that its just the habit. I found it easier to change my routine completely rather than just try to cut cigs out of the old routine. The first time I quit I tried the tablets (which were good) and patches (not so good made me feel sick). Tried an electric cig and though they were crap.

Thanks! I swapped a few sensors etc earlier at it seems slightly better but there's still something there. I have 2 spare coilpack/igniters so ill try one of those tomorrow and clean up the contact. Thanks!

Yeah I'm tempted to rebuild the glanza engine with a new set of bearings and rings but with gt rods. Just never fancy buying a bearing set for and engine that's just sat there, always things I'm after for mine haha. Tbf a full bearing set is only like £120ish and I would've done all te bearings on mine but I just don't have the time to ale the gearbox off and crank out. Although it would be an excuse to fit the LSD box 250 miles now and all is fine bottom end wise! Oil change at 500, so we will see how much metal comes out with it haha. Tempted to take the sump off at 500 again and clean the sump out again and the oil pick up. We will see
