Clutch Help, To hold 1bar on TD04 - Updated!!
Zeldoz replied to Zeldoz's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
So it would take 240bhp (max) happily? If so I'll buy one of you end of month! -
Maybe his dad owned them. You couldn't drive any of these and appreciate them without it being on a road?

Clutch Help, To hold 1bar on TD04 - Updated!!

Split opinions here. It's not skimping but I need mine mapping quite soon. Running under cut on standard ECU without a wideband right now isnt great I imagine. I just need something good for the power and a nice all rounder to drive with. I don't plan on attacking track days etc. mayo just can't justify a clutch that sets me back almost what I paid for my turbo kit.. Urghh.. Your right Daniel, the joys of modding! Wasted thousands in my EP3 will be the same here I guess haha! -

Thanks Iddy, I could stretch to that organic one. Would that reliably hold 1bar do you think? Last thing I want or need is it to start slipping after a month or so mapping! Lewis -
Sounds a lot like fuel cut. Did you feel the car stutter as you was booting it? And did it pop loudly from the exhaust? The cold weather makes the air denser meaning it can boost creep to fuel cut really easy!

Right. Ideally I don't need anything exceptional. I need something that will hold 1bar without an issue. I can't justify more than £200 as it'll be bought this month, and fitting is going to set me back another £150 as my mechanical knowledge stops at my own choice on engines and gearbox touching. I don't trust myself. Now flywheel. An I going to need a new one? I have literally felt my clutch slip twice in 5th. An not been in a motorway since then. Could I reuse it? It not, what are my flywheel options as I can't spent silly amounts for one! So can anyone link me something suitable fo -

Just relocate the TMIC to the front like above. Will cost you £10-£20 in extra ally pipe lengths and some silicone joiners + clamps.. then your be fine until you get a FMIC. -
If this wasn't 130 miles, and over 2 hours drive i would probably come.

Lovely car! I sooo wish i bought a white one now!

This is something i've always wanted to do while im still in my 20's. But, i can't see myself eventually doing it. Australia is the place i want to go. But with a Mrs's who isn't interested in travelling. My only option is to chuck in work as i doubt there give me 6 months leave unpaid, dump the lady and go! Come back a loney and poor man i would presume!!!
