No its a straight swap, assuming you have a non lsd box already. You only need the o/s driveshaft & rear mount when swapping to an oem lsd box. A cusco diff is fitted into a standard box so the normal mount and shaft are still used.

Hmmm its a weird one, could be bad batch of fuel ? Blocked fuel filter, sticky injector, weak spark somewhere in the ignition setup, faulty TPS, turbo on the way out, etc. My 85 was running like a bag of shit recently aswell, was messing about with it for weeks trying to find the problem, think the leads were sitting a bit funny in the dizzy cap but not too sure.

Try setting the base timing with the dizzy. Should be 10 btdc. I know its unrelated but if its retarded at all then the car wont feel right.

I dont think the poly bushes were made for those mounts, ive had mine off and they are physically different to both types of 82 mounts. Maybe some really good tiger seal type shit would hold it in properly ?

Bit of an update, so yesterday i went across to Dale SR's place, we then set about ripping the engine & gearbox, plus a few other parts, out his white sportif spares car. Gonna give them a clean up, re-seal the sump, replace a few parts and then drop them into the shell soon And this is how the GT bay is atm, needs a good clean up. The JDM Gen1 N/a loom is in place, it plugs right into the MK3 GT fusebox which is very convenient

Yeah there is gonna be a good few quicker cars about. If youre wanting more power then go for it, if a car you own feels slow then that takes a lot of the fun out of it imo, start to loose interest etc. Just make sure you have the handling & brakes to make a 300bhp starlet safe first haha. My old GT was TD04 @ 1.1bar (no power figure) and that was a hell of a lot of fun
