Would say 20-30 a bit more if they have a silver or turquoise surround. Not that many people need them in turquoise lol. Are they still amber, or have you made them clear ?

You wont need to swap the whole gearset over, you can just swap the 5th gear, the d4d is a C series box so the gears are interchangeable.

Ad be checking the alternator and the belt incase the battery isnt being charged.

Tell the tester he is a cunt. Aslong as the switch has a 'tell tail' ie a wee light on the switch to tell you its on then its fine. Appeal it with VOSA, you'll win, he'll get in shit because he doesnt know his shit, and you'll get an MOT

Yeah you need an illuminating switch for the rear fog, i just bought one of ebay for a couple quid. And yeah the sun visor thing is correct, same with things hanging off the rear view mirror, not illegal, just can fail MOT for them.

If it still fails with the cat on then ask for a print out of the emissions test, post it on here and we'll help diagnose the fault. Simple things like blocked air filter, leaky exhaust etc can all throw emissions out.

Yeah i know its been done before, remember you had done it Toby, id rather have one over a shitey CT9 anyday. But to get the most out of a TD05 a forged engine and big boost is ideal.

Is it the square flange type though ? Having the manifold is a start and any decent exhaust place wont have an issue making up a downpipe. Generally TD05 really only work on forged big boost setups so you'll get the most out of it. But im not a fan of CT9 so i'd do it if you have the supporting mods. It'll be pretty laggy though. What kinda Evo is it from ?
